JBoss rule usage in J2EE application

I'm working in a J2EE (EjB 3) application Which i plan to implement some of the business logic using "JBoss rule".

1 what is the best way of integrating rule engine to the EJB tier ?

2 Can the rule engine validate a large number of data set asserted as objects efficiently ?
