Hi, i have one doubt i.e "Can Jboss reads out all the needed data directly from DataBase with the help of Ejb entities?"...please clarify this....actually i have some confusions(Just now only i started work on this)..

Compare above with the following::
----------------------------------
In servlets,by using servlet classes we can extend the functionality of a webserver....then servlets will help to webserver in fetching the data from DataBase directly.....is it possible directly in Jboss.....

I am using tools::
------------------
1.Ejb(I am very stranger to this)
2.Jboss

please help me to avoid confusions....can you explain any helpful information(subject view)?....

Thanks,

Hi there and welcome to Javaranch!

In short the answer is yes. EJB technologies (e.g. CMP Entity beans, especially easy with EJB 3.0) and non EJB technologies (such as the popular Hibernate) can be utilised in J2EE/JEE application servers in order to directly get data out of your Database.

It sounds like you are new to this area so I would strongly recommend reading through OReilly Enterprise Javabeans (5th Edition) (EJB 3.0) and working through the Jboss Workbook that goes with that

Hope that helps

It would give a normal human mental abilities to rival mine. To think it is just a tiny ad:
