Seeking visionary and creative senior software engineers who are driven to satisfy customers by leveraging the world's richest retail data set. Knowledge and experience with database design, ETL, query generation, and performance tuning for decision support and data warehousing is required. Experience with Oracle is preferred. A perfect candidate has superior design, coding, and problem-solving skills; a demonstrated ability to work both independently and in an aggressive, small team environment; and a proven ability to overcome obstacles. The ideal candidate has directly participated in all phases of software development, including systems analysis and design, development of custom applications, integration of third-party tools in large-scale data warehouse environments, and building intranets and extranets. Proficiency in SQL, Unix, and C/C++ is essential to this position. Experience with
Java, CORBA, Perl, CGI, and XML, and deploying high-performance and scalable solutions for ecommerce are a strong plus, as are excellent verbal and written communication skills. Also a degree in computer science or equivalent and 2 years of related experience is needed. This is a very competitive company based in a non-political STABLE environment!
