Hi Neetu,
Welcome to this forum.
As regards replies to your question, here they are :
Number of questions in test.
55 questions
Passing score
70 per cent (not confirmed - Pre-assessment tests at IBM site suggests that)
Cost of test.
It depends on the economies of the country. In Mumbai, it is 80 USD.I came to know from other posts in the forum that in Bangalore you can take the test for 50 USD.In US, it is 175 USD.
free voucher scheme is still there.
This scheme was available ony till December 31, 2000.It doesnot exist any more
Is there any mock exam tool like java certifiaction has.
Click here.YOu will get a list if IBM tests.Select Test 486 in the Combobox at the top.Leave the other fields blank and Click Submit. You would get 3 columns , out of which the last column is about the "Sample Test".
Books for preparation.
Again in the above site you would find the Recommended list of books by IBM (It is the second column).FYI, they suggest Larman - Applying UML and Patterns and Martin Fowler - UML Distilled as the recommended ones.
Anyone has notes on UML.
I believe the above books would be good enough to pass the test.Apart from that, please do take part actively in this discussion forum. It helps to gain and share information.
Regards,
Sandeep
