I passed the IBM 486 exam with 70%.
I should say that the exam was a tough one. I prepared from 4 books - Rumbaugh (OMT), Booch (User Guide), Larman and Fowler giving stress on the latter two.
The forum helped me a lot in passing the exam.
I have one query that Rational has a similar certification examination in OOAD (site info : http://www.rational.com/worldwide/india/certification_exam.jsp#Length). Now which exam has more acceptability - The IBM one or the Rational one.

Thanks for the link for the Rational test.
If you have already passed Test 486, I believe that is more than enough to present yourself as a person who knows about UML.So I wouldn't recommend the OOAD test from Rational.
But, I think it would be interesting to take the other tests by Rational on their products/Technologies RUP,Rose 2000e, Test Studio and ClearQuest, especially since these products are the best in the market so far!
Would like some comments from my fellow JavaRanchers!
