To James: Thanks for your reply. This is a comprehensive resources. To:Bilal, I just begin learn this topic and have no insight about this. Just to let you know what the architecture, here is a decription from an atrticle wrote by: Alan R. Graves and Chris Czarnecki , Member IEEE The behavior-based control paradigm for robotics was introduced by Brooks in the form of the subsumption architecture . The subsumption architecture involves decomposing a robotic control system into a set of behavioral layers, each of which is individually connected to both sensors and actuators. Each behavioral layer will be composed of a number of small finite state machines. Such systems display a high degree of parallelism with all layers running concurrently. Each encapsulates a single behavior, with higher-level behaviors subsuming lower ones. The artificial intelligence that the robot displays emerges out of the interaction of these individual layers, and their interaction with the environment.
By the way, if anybody know any good discussion group for the robotics based on Java, please kindly let me know. Thanks, Frank
