Summary:
As a member of the Project Team, the Senior Technical Architect's overall responsibilities are to deliver projects successfully, ensure customer satisfaction, gain follow-on projects at existing customers, and provide strong technical leadership across projects and project teams.

Responsibilities:
Provides expertise in the area of eCommerce Technology, web application architecture, Web Logic, ATG Dynamo, Vignette and/or
Java Assists in winning service projects by providing technical sales support
Provides technical risk assessment for architectural design
Plans and directs major projects or phases of a project within area of expertise
Leads a team or teams by providing architectural direction and leadership throughout the project
Examines current literature, patents and advanced practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education:
BS, MS or pH from accredited/recognized university
Experience:
Level Differentiation
(Masters degree reduces experience requirement by 1-2 years)
Minimum
7 years professional experience
Develops and applies advanced methods, theories and process techniques in the investigations and resolution of highly complex engineering problems
Required Technical experience:
+ Solid OO and relational design methodology (OOA, OOD)
+ Distributed component architectures (DCOM, CORBA)
+ Strong data modeling (OO & Relational) skills
+ Strong RDBMS (Oracle, DB2, Informix, Sybase) skills
+ Experience with application servers (WebLogic, iPlanet)
3 GL & OOP programming skills including Java, C++, C
Demonstrated capabilities/skills:
+ Must possess a demonstrated ability to convert high-level user requirements into a deliverable functional specification and define high-level, complex system architectures
+ Practical knowledge of architectures within eCommerce/web
+ Ability to direct and lead others
+ Architecture & application design skills
+ Presentation & communications skills
