Position Title: Application Developer/Integration Consultant
Position Description:
Application Developers build e-commerce systems using our products and cutting-edge technologies such as XML, Java,
JSP, and EJB. They help drive our software evolution by providing feedback on industry direction while building
solutions for customers. Application Developers should love to write code, be willing to travel, and enjoy working with
customers.
Responsibilities
Code (Java, JSP), test (Silk, WebLoad), and document multi-tier e-commerce applications (EJB, databases, firewalls,
SSL, etc.)
Design solutions to technical and business problems (Object-Oriented Design)
Work with and present to client business and technical teams
Teach and mentor new team members
Personal Characteristics/Aptitude
Loves to use intuition and creativity to solve difficult problems
Strong technical communication skills: can teach difficult technical concepts to any audience
Excellent presentation skills: impresses customer business and technical teams
Quickly learns and applies new technologies, skills, and domain knowledge
Abstract reasoning ability
Decomposition and elegant representation of complex systems
Algorithm design and analysis
75-85% travel
salary: $85k-$140k-ish, depending on experience
Austin-based, with offices in California, Detroit and London
