Interaction Diagram / Activity Diagram

Can anybody explain me what is the difference between Interaction and Activity diagram? They look quite similar, though they might have different context, can anybody explain please.

Activity diagrams (never really used the notation) seem to show more logic than Interaction would attempt. They change the UML names now and then ... I still say Object Interaction, but I think they say Collaboration now.
Scott Ambler has tons of great modeling information. This page has a high level overview of all the diagrams and may help you spot the differences in purpose and content:
