Thanks Jeanne. I must say your SCEA experiences write up helped me a lot. My IT experience is 10 years. So should I wait for some more years to gain knowledge on enterprise architecture and then pursue TOGAF or it is a right time for that. My point is doing TOGAF is actually worth or should I pursue any other certifications like AWS solution architect etc. now?
I have cleared OCMJEA 5 last week , I took OCMJEA 5 because when I started preparing OCMJEA 6 was in beta but I have prepared assignment using JEE 6. Part 1 score was 92% and Part 2 & 3 is 132. Could you please suggest the next certification I should prepare to be a better architect? I know TOGAF is an option but this too theoretical.

Thanks JavaRanch for your support.
Currently I am use following code to lookup EJB3 sateless session beans for normal POJO class. (We are in JEE5 so we can not inject Stateless Session Beans in normal POJO class I have to use look up)

So is Context object is ThredSafe? should I create Context object for each call [as shown in this code snippet] or I can reuse the Context for all threads?
My requirement is .Net program will encrypt the String and Java program will decrypt the encrypted String. How to achieve this?

I have to write a Login module which will accept encrypted password, but the service which will invoke this is in .Net. How do I generate they key and share with the consumer/ .Net developer. So the encryption and decryption will be seamless.

Hi,

Is it possible to mix BMT and CMT as in the next example. TestAddCommand method is under BMT and calls methods of AddCommand and RemoveCommand which is under CMT. Is this possible?

How Can I do something like

I am using Open EJB with Tomcat and Java EE5. If I do a JNDI look up instead of ejb annotation it is works fine. IfI change the code to following it is then also it is not working

Please let me knwo is there any way I can achieve this?
I have to develop one process that will process fast. Below is my requirement and my thoughts

This process executes 10 different queries. To have the performance better I will create ThreadPool using assign independent queries as task and attach with ExecutorService. Then submit the task. I will do it within a stateless session bean. Please let me know whether this approach is correct or not. The machine I am running is dual processor quad core machine with 2G Ram.

I would also like to do/start the processing immediately after results from query are available (doesn't want to wait till all the results are available). Please let me know how to achieve this.

I would like develop a custom annotation to inject object at runtime. The annotation will work as follows

1. develop ValidatorClass annotation on type.
2. If annotated on a type object will be created at runtime and injected to the object. e.g. in class A it will inject validatorimpl object to vald object when a object of A type will be created.

Please let me know how to implement that.

Hi,

In my current project we have the WSDLs and sample XMLs. We have to build webservices for these. Could you please help me what approach should be taken in this scenario.

I am new to webservices, if you can explain it elaborately that will help me understand.

Hi,

I would like to create an run time annotation processor, which assigns default value to some variable e.g.

If input is blank or null "Hi there" will be assigned to input. How to do this?

Also I would like to package so that if any other program can use this. I would like to know how to achieve this one also.

Please suggest good example of runtime and compile time annotation processor

We are using WAS 5.1 and migrating to WAS 7. Following code is used for LDAP authentication. Can some one explain how it is works and where it is specified to connect to which LDAP?
