Check the length of byte stream transmitted and recieved at the other end.Is that problem occurs only for the datasource object or for anything sent ?

Posting reply again..after updating profile...

As a design suggestion, keeping live objects which holds a webservice connection ( like Axis Call Object for example) is not ususally recommended.Holding such an object is a High Vulnerability/Security issue.
Consider creating webservice call objects only whenever required and pull out required information.

Guess so you may have a JDK compatibility issue.Try sync up JDK versions on the client side. Not sure.

If your interest is to just understand the flow of headers, you can also use external tools like Ethereal,Paros etc which are good sniffers. This will help you to narrow down each and every bit transferred !!!

"Controller" is suffixed to the components which stands only point of entry. For example, If all your calls to the webcontainer goes thru a single servlet you can probably name it as WebController, which decides how to handle the request.

Sometime you may have to extend the request response objects. This is specifically done if your project is driven by custom framework.
