How to manipulation date time format in RMS?
i mean, i would like to save Date Time format into RMS then afteward in other command action will be open the Record store and compare with current date from system.
1. How to save DateTime format in RMS?
2. How to Read DateTime format saved in RMS?
3. How to compare DateTime format (readed from RMS) with current date time( from device system).

the problem is solved alredy.
there is caused nokia with MIDP 1.0 not supported if we use "add command" into Alert. also not supported to use "TextField.UNEDITABLE".

is any "type" can use like "TextField.UNEDITABLE" ?
i need this type to display long text that response from server but just read only, like as if you read incoming SMS message.

Dear All,
I made Jar file, the file is running well in real device (SonyEricsson K700, Nokia 9500).
the jar file installed by OTA.

in many other nokia device (i guess 4 series and 6 series), the software installed successfull. but error occured while open the application. the error message : "Application Error", detil error is "java/lang/IlegalStateException" without any description.

i was tested on all Nokia emulator and running well.


kindly help to solve this problem.

I was edited mime.types in apache directory.

the first time i try to open file through Device (Nokia) input url: "http://MyDomain.com/abc.jad" and there is working properly.
the device display information about: Application name, Size, Vendor, and version. then i just click "ok" button, then the display show the device is download application progress. afterward, the device system response is "Invalid File".

please help me.

I made a jar file, named abc.jar.

When I transfer this file to device (Nokia 3310, Nokia 6610, SonyEricsson K700) using data cable, the abc.jar is working properly. I mean file is known and installed normally then I can use the application.

But I try putting the file in some server (http://www.domainName.com/abc.jar) and I use application manager (in devices) to download the file and install, the file is �Unknown�.

What�s happen? Why?
Is this only use data cable to transfer and install the jar file?

I was made application to get data over HTTP connection.
How to make some function to know how many bytes data while application is run.
I mean, if I close the application (before exit) then some alert appear inform how many bytes data usage during application is run.
This is important for me since GPRS cost every bytes transferred.

http://developers.sun.com/techtopics/mobility/midp/articles/permissions/index.html this site explain how to make trusted domain and give permission to connect over http. this working in emulator but not working in real device.
in the real device (Handphone) after i transfer/install to the device, the JAR file still contain untrusted domain and always ask permission every tried connect to server over http.
kindly help to give step by step how to solve this problem
