Hi,
i am familiar with java, jsp and a small anmount to beans. Could anyone reccommend some books that will take me through the the more complex jsp and ejb applications with examples and into professional ejb application design. By the way, this is one of the best java help related sites i have found
Thank you
Damo
Hi,
got the answer an easier way thanks
ie try to find the length of 'month'
cal.setTime(new Date(year,month+1,day));
cal.add(Calendar.DATE,-1);
cal.get(Calendar.DAY_OF_MONTH);
wish there was a more direct way to do it, maybe should say something to the lads at Sun
Thanks

Hi,
I am trying to create an online calendar system and have created two tables in ms access. first is a the calendar table containing the calendar id, name and date created. The second is a event table containing all the possible events entered into a calendar. This is one to many relationship, from calendar to event. I want to be able to create many calendars and view the specific events containing these. How do i go about creating the link between these, i have done the theory behind databases in uni but am having problems implementing them.
Also i want to be able to view these events in the order of time and date, how do you go about this in jsp.
Thanks
Damien

hi, looked at previous posts and tried this code to add to my access database:
--------------------------------------------------
java.util.Date d = new java.util.Date();
java.sql.Date date = new java.sql.Date(d.getDate());

PreparedStatement ps;
ps = myConn.prepareStatement("INSERT INTO TestTable"+"(Eventdate)"+ "values (?)");
ps.setDate(1,date);
ps.execute();
------------------------------------------------
I tried this and got an java.sql.SQLException: General error
Having serious problems with this i am trying to create a calendar system in JSP so the date is key to my code
