Sameer,

You can buy mutual funds online..Lot of Banks do it..If you have a citibank or a hdfc bank account you can do it...Just log into citi bank site..open an investment account and you can start your investment process...

Yes, that fine pay for expereince upto 2 years. But if you try other companies, you may get upto 3.5 LPA given excellent market conditions. BUT, IMHO, 2.8 is sth that I'd have accepted happily for less than 2 years experience. I used to get 3.4 LPA for 3 years exp few years ago.

IMHO the pay should not be based on your tenure..It should be based on what you bring to the table..

So if you think you are worth more boldly ask otherwise dont ask...even a fresher can demand more if he is better than experienced person.......

One more question do the companies cross check and verify whether you have actually worked on the projects that you have mentioned in your resume...?

Is the onsite salary same for all indian companies ?

No Pradip...What is attractive offsite is not attractive onsite...
I mean Services companies pay poorely in India but they pay you well if you are sent onsite..Ex...Tcs pay in India is Pathetic...

But product companies which pay well here in India dont pay you that well if you are sent onsite..
Ex..Sap labs pays only 30 euros a day if you are sent to Germany..i2 technologies pay you $50 if you are sent onsite...

So now comes the important question Is it preferable to work in a Product company or a services company(purely from materialistic point of view)?..I am pondering over this question for a long time...Any suggestions

if you are ready to compromise on the returns you can check out some monthly income plan schemes offered by mutual funds...

MIP 1 year(%)
HDFC MIP - LTP (G) 16.5
UTI MIS Adv. Plan (G) 15.6
Reliance MIP (G) 14.9

Check out these 3 funds...

Hi Ram,
Depends on how much you want to invest..
Best would be to go for a mutual fund with a dividend payout option..I would recommend equity diversified funds..

check out
http://mutualfunds.moneycontrol.com/mf/gainerloser/snapshot.php?op1=ab&option=eqd

I think if you invest 12 lakhs you can 20k /month....

comex gold close of yesterday 554 so conversion for those interested :

1 oncz = 3.11 kg
I dollar =44.11 rupees
so its pure value is
for 1 kg contract of gold .995 = [ (554) /3.11 ] * 44.11 = 7857.53 but reality says different its currently 8006 so just for our study multiply it to get a good approximation
The cost of carry would be 8006 / 7857.53 =1.018895 .

So comex u just multiply the value by 14.451

So u can plan next days trade to some realistic estimation .
