Hi guys,

I have started participating in this forum recently and am new to the field of java and xml, webservices.I have read the basic fundamentals of webservices ,soap, wsdl and other stuff. My question is that after seeing the soap, wsdl files(which seems to be quite confusing and if we need to add more information,it really becomes quite big),my question is:

1) Does the programmer/developer himself created this files

2) Are there tools which generates this files and if any which is widely used one.

3) If the developer/programmer himself has to create the soap, wsdl files then it think is it not quite tedious job(after seeing the soap, wsdl etc files this is what i feel)

I would like u guys to guide me in learing the web services and suggest me the valuable tips that u guys have

thanks a lot in advance

Hey could anyone guide me on getting started to java programming on a fast track.

i have got very familiar with all the concepts and fundamentls of the language but still dont feel confident. Can any one suggest me where i can have sample codes or small sample demonstration projects which uses classes, interfaces, abstract classes and all the other fundamentls of java ie super(), this, static, final etc.In this way i guess i can understand the concepts better. Also at initial level which are the packages that need to be surfed mostly and mostly used.

Can any one guide me in this direction

thanking you guys in advance

hi friends

i am new to java and at presently am getting the intial touch of java.I have read about collections and have some fundamental knowledge about it.

Now my question is that when to use hashmap and when to use hashtable,Sortlist or Array list. Can any one clarify me more about the collections. What are the other topics (or java packages) that i should focus in order to get a fast and quick grip on programming.

Thanks a lot guys in advance

hi friends,

i am new to java and have quesition.

I am not clear about what does it mean by implementation in java. For example what does this sentence mean:

Apache Axis is an implementation of the SOAP.

what i get from this is that apache axis uses the package SOAP or SOAP package is used as a interface.

can any one give a very consice and fundamental answer

thanks a lot in advance

hi everybody,

i am new to java and would like to ask one general question relating to java.

There are many packages in java with each package having many classes,Interfaces and each class in turn having lot of methods within it.Now my question is how can one know that a particular method which performs a particular function is in which class . While programming when one wants a particular task to be performed, how can one know/find a method which can help him achieve the task that he/she wants.I find it difficult and time consuming in order to find a method which really suites to my need.

I am a beginner in java and want to know some very good website in which there are lot of sample code examples in java.In that way i guess i can better understand the concept.Again i repeat that i am a absolute beginner but want to learn java.I guess by reading sample code samples, referring to java API for the methods and classes used in program, one can understand it better.

Waiting for your guidance guys

Thanking you in Advance
