When i open the dom.html it shows error that "Permission denied". Can anybody tell me the possible reasons for that.

But Manfred this means that final object lives after the scope of the method has been finished. I'm not sure about the scope of the final variables. can anybody explain a bit about it.

hi group,
in the filter() method of the code below the argument passed is final, this argument is used in the anonymous class written inside that method. My question is that why we have to declare this argument as final?

Thank you very much Capped Rose. At first I was thinking that my question is too lont that nobody is going to answer. Anyway my problem is solved. Thank you again.
Shashank M Tanksali, though u'r solution also work but if i want to apply it in more coplex xml file, it would be tough. Any way thanx for u'r help.

hi! all, have a look on this code
class Charvalue
{
public static void main(String[] args)
{
for (int i = 0x0004;i <=0xFFFE;i++ )
{
System.out.println(i );
System.out.println((char)i);
}
}
}
In the output i get some of the character but most of the output is consist of question mark (?). Can anybody tell me why it's so?

hi! all,
i hope that some of u are aware of the way some IDE works with intelligent typing feature. For example you type some object, and IDE automatically shows all it's methods/properties in a list from which u can select anyone.
i want to implement this same feature in the editor for java, which i am making. Means i want to place item list on existing text area.
how can i do that ?

yes liu, i too belive that there is no right answer in the given option.
because it is needed that class G should be there, which is not.

Richard, u have got the concept of polymorphism but u'r code will give the compile time error. And it is due to the fact that u didn't initialize the handle absObj.
and for this u have to assigne it null value.
AbstractClass absObj = null;

hi! nancy,
The logical operator && produce a boolean value of true or false based on the logical relationship of its arguments. And you can apply it toboolean values only. You cant use a non- boolean as if it were a boolean in a logical expression as you can in C and C++.
One more interesting thing with logical operator is the phenomenon called short circuiting. And in the case of && operator the expression will be evaluated only till the truth of the expression can be determined. For eg.
in the expression below
if(test1(0) && test2(2) && test3(2))
first the test1(0) is evaluated and only if it is true then the next test2(2) will be evaluated and so.
And & is Bitwise operator. The bitwise operators allow you to manipulate individual bits in an integral primitive data type.
The bitwise AND operator (&) produces a one in the output bit if both input bits are one; otherwise it produces a zero.
and there are lots of other things about & and && but i hope that the explanation above would help a bit.
