Hi

Are the study notes at : http://www.slideshare.net/krizsan/scdjws-5-study-notes-3085287 valid for 1ZO - 897 examination?

Any update of notes specific to 1ZO - 897 exam?

I am new to GWT.Is there a beginners book such as Head First for other topics?
I want to follow one book approach only rather than getting confused in multiple books.

Thanks

GWT
I have been working in Java and related technologies for 5 years now but haven't used Spring in any of projects.
Now i want to have some exposure to Spring wherein i can build sample examples and experience it power and hopefully in future can use in some of projects.

Can someone tell me starting book (maybe as simple as Head First Series...) from where i can get a headstart.
Also is there a parallel certification which can be ultimately achieved?

Help from fellow ranchers will help.

Hello

I cleared SCJP 1.4 six odd months back and now want to give SCJP 6.0 exam.
I have browsed through the syllabus for 6.0 but there is no fundamental difference it seems.
So is SCJP 5 Exam study guide by Sierra and bates (which i already have) is enough forthe 6.0 exam or i need to purchase the updated one (K & B corresponding to 6.0).

Thanks

Begin with RMH book.Rest will follow...Give yourself time to prepare for exam.Dont be in a hurry.
Understand well and don't cram anything.

I think if you are starting from scratch, you can look at upcoming SCDJWS exam 1.5.But for that you wont get much material and also its not out yet.So it may take longer. But latest exam will cover things like JAX-WS which we use in place of JAX RPC.
So start preparing and rest things will follow

RMH is one to clear the basics.Rest you can look at examples on web and other notes on Java ranch

Hello

I had one question concerning Yell.com or Salesforce.com Search Access at their LDAP directories.

Actually i have an application wherein i am looking to provide Yell.com LDAP directory 'Search' functionality.i.e. i will have first name and last name at my GUI and using JAva i will fetch result from these directory service providers.

But visitng their sites,i couldnt find any information about ldap URL and base DN or how to search in these directories?

Can you throw some light on it.How can i access these directories through my application using JNDI.From where can i get configuration parameters related to these sites?

Do i need to get some license for the same?

Thanks

No problems.
Do prepare well on Security aspect.Quite a lot of questions were there
Hi

I dont think there are some secret or special things one needs to do as regards cracking it.
For anyone new to WS have some patience to understand concepts first, digest them and then go for certification preparation.
Web Services is tremendous technology and things like WS Session WS Eventing WS Addressing WS Transfer are great to work on.
RMH book is bit boring but is very good in content.
Go slow but follow a definite path.
I hope i answered your question
I have also cleared but still i have to get more hands on Web Services. So learning never ends.

Ashish you can find lot of examples on that.I will email you on that with examples
