Thanks for your reply.

From your answer, I infer that persistence is the super set of serialization. If so, could you please clearly define persistence. Why should we go for persistence, if the same can acheived using serialization and deserialization.

Hi All,

Can any tell me the difference in serialization and persistence. I am totally confused with both terms. Both serialization and persistence means to store state of the variable in java. Then why they are using the difference terms.

Correct me if my undestanding is wrong.

Please clarify..

Thanks in advance.

Hi there,

Please guide me on how to expose EJB3 as a web service?

My enviornment is

WAS(Web sphere application Server) -6.1.0.17
RAD-7.0.0.5

I am using JAX-WS for creating web service.

I have installed Web service feature pack for both JAX-WS and EJB3.

Any guide lines on how to do that or any link may be helpfull.

What I have learned is, " it is not possible to expose EJB3 session bean as web service". The service need to be invoked using a wrapper class.

Please correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks in advance.

Hi All,

I am a newbie to web service. I have knowledge in java and would like to

develop a web service. I have JWSDP version 2.6 along with J2SE 5.0,

tomcat 6. I would like to know how to create a sample application using

JAXRPC API. How to generate a WSDL file, how to configure a WAR file for a

web service (i.e what are the files need to be included in the WAR file),

and what are the steps need to develop a client application.

Please advice.

Thanks in Advance.

Hi All,

I have a general question, and this is about the web container.

I just wanted to know where does the web container store the request

attributes. Does the container has the request attribute in the HTTP

packet or does it have it in the web server memory. If it is in the web

server where doed it store? Does the server has a database or some sort of

storage mechanisms.

Please correct me if i am wrong.

Thanks in advance.
