Hello Sharma,

You are right.. It is Information Technology Infrastructure Library. As you must have known it is a Process Framework or you can call it as a set of Best Practices for improving the quality of IT. I would be joining as a ITIL Process consultant. I am also planning to take up certifications in COBIT Process framework shortly... Just thought whether this career path would be good for me in a long run... I hope you must have understood.

Finally got some breakthrough after a gruelling 4 months in bench..

Got an offer for 6 LPA from one of the top three Indian MNC's. I have about 2 yrs and 5 months exp in ITIL Framework. Is this the right pay for this niche skill?? My current CTC is 4.2 LPA in an American MNC. I would serve as a ITIL Process consultant in my new firm.. So please advice..

No, here the relieving time is 60 days. So there is a huge gap between the expectations and what is actually possible. My current employer is not ready to release me in less than 50 days max... so started trying for some other oppurtunities...

But the problem is the Financial service provider wants me to join within 20 days where as my current employer has strictly ruled out that possibility. The current employer has even ruled out the possibility of buying out the notice period. So I had to just leave this offer anyhow thanks guys..

I have 2 years exp in IT industry and I am from Chennai. Recently I got an offer for 6.3 LPA from a financial service provider in chennai (FLAGSHIP-PRODUCT-NAME-REMOVED is its flagship product). When I went through the forum I didnot get good inputs about the same company. Also I would be travelling onsite to Canada within one month of joining the company as per the discussion with the technical team there. Please advise whether it would be a right move to switch to that company. My main dilemma is that I am non-billable for more than 3 months in my current company. I am in total confusion now!
