the answer to your question is number second for checking this you can create a finalize method and throw a runtime exception or any checked exception without handling it in try catch block see what's the output.
For example run this Program.
public class Test
{
private int[] bigArray=new int[50000];
public static void main(String args[])
{
Test a=new Test();
Test b=new Test();
Test c=new Test();
a=null;
b=null;
Test d=new Test();
Test f=new Test();
}
protected void finalize() throws Throwable
{
throw new Exception();
}
}
hi amit the exception will be ignored and the object will be garbage collected i.e, you can think in this way the finalize method terminates and if it is not garbaged collected this time next time when garbage collector runs it won't call the finalize method because the finalize method won't be invoked more than once.
hi the answer to your question is that while accessing the fields the
reference of is of superclass type so it access the filed of superclass and prints 5 but when you are calling the method the object is of subclass so the method of subclass is called and since there is implicit this reference so the field of subclass is being accessed and is printing 10
hope it clears your doubt
<%@ page import="java.sql.*"%>

String driver="oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver";
String dburl="jdbc:oracle:thin:@localhost:1521:oradata";
String user="scott";
String pwd="tiger";
Connection conn=null;
try {
DriverManager.registerDriver((Driver)Class.forName(driver).newInstance());
conn = DriverManager.getConnection(dburl,user,pwd);
Statement stmt = conn.createStatement();
ResultSet rset = stmt.executeQuery("select * from tab");
while (rset.next())
{
//fetch the data and display what you want.
}
}
catch (Exception e) {
e.printStackTrace();
}
finally
{
try{stmt.close();conn.close();
}catch(Exception e){e.printStackTrace();}
%>

hi the concept for strictfp keyword is that it can be applied to fields, methods and class. SUN provided the strictfp to have same output on different machines. If keyword strictfp is applied to method then all floating point will follow strictfp rule and so for the class.
hi
the answer to your question is that it won't affect the other thread and only the current thread will throw the exception and since the exception is not handeled it will terminate. hope this solves yours doubt
