Hi Lucas,

It is "Course Form Submission" for attending the mandatory training. Once you have taken the training you have to perform "Submit Course Form" procedure in PearsonVue to indicate that you have completed the training. Once you submit this, Oracle will receive the notification and they have to subsequently approve it. I referred that as "Form Approved".

I have passed my OCMJEA. Today I have received mail from Oracle stating that I cleared the exam. I got a score of 143 for Part II and III.
I would like to thank for the wealth of information available in this forum and access to get clarifications from the best in industry for OCMJEA.

Here is my timeline for the exam.

Training Undertaken: 25th Nov 2011
Part I Exam Taken : 11th Jun 2012
Part II Submission : 09th Nov 2012
Part III Exam : 12th Nov 2012
Course Form Sub : 12th Nov 2012
Form Approved : 16th Nov 2012
Final Result : 03rd Dec 2012

Hello Java Ranch,

After two weeks upon submitting my assignment and PartIII Essay exam, I have received my scores for Part 2. I got 143 / 160. Status for the Part II changed to PASS. But still status for PARTIII still appear as TAKEN. I have submitted the Course Form and it is approved as well.

I am not sure whether I have cleared the exam or still have to wait for an email from Oracle saying that I have passed. Can someone who passed please help me !!

I have a question regarding your earlier post "Jar to Resubmit". In the deployment diagram there is an item "Missing 3D tool". Can you please explain me what you had to do for this?

I am in the process of finalizing my assignment for submission. I checked this 3D tooling in your blog. Hence checking this with you. I hope there is no violation of forum rules in asking this.

Hi,

You are eligible to take the Architect Exam ( OCMJEA ). Having said that, you should make sure is the Architecture the path you want to take. This exam is different to Web Component / Java Programmer exam. I am sure you are aware that it is a 3 part exam. Also it is mandatory nowadays that you should attend Oracle training's to get your Architect Certification. The training could cost considerably, and it is based on the country you want to take the exam. Please check with Oracle site for the appropriate pricing. Good luck with your OCMJEA journey.

I can say from my company's point of view. My company has three levels of Architects namely Enterprise / Solution and Software Architects. Software Architects are the one I can closely associate with OCMJEA. Having said that it is not vastly different to Solution Architecture. Solution Architects should be aware of wider technology choices as well apart from Java alone. This is my view.

I am in the process of taking the Part 2 and 3. I got my assignment and started working on it. It is slightly confusing what the next set of actions to take, once I have completed part 2.

1. Upload assignment in Pearson Vue website
2. Book appointment with Pearson Vue for Essay exam
3. Complete the essay exam.. Is it written exam or type in computer? Do we get result for part 3 in the test centre itself?
4. But the final result will be available after few weeks in CERTVIEW ?

Can you elaborate on this process please ?
