Could anyone provide me the definition and differences between Weak Reference, Soft Reference and Phantom Reference? Thanks in advance.

Hello All,

I completed SCBCD certification on Feb 5, 2009. According to the Cert Manager DB, my certificate package was dispatched on 8th Feb. Im living in Chennai, India. Usually, i will get the certificate roughly after a fortnight from the date I completed the exam (got the WCD and SCJP certificates after 15 days exactly). That makes me worried. Whom should I contact in Sun to collect details about this? Any help will be highly appreciated.

All,

I just completed the EJB3 exam and next up, I would like to learn WS. Im completely new to WS. Is it ok to take the current version of the WS exam, or should I wait for WS for Java EE 5 version? Whats the difference between those two versions? Also suggest me the best book (WS for Java EE 5) for beginners. Kindly help me out.

Hi All,

I have successfully completed SCBCD 5 with 77%. Though not an awesome score, Im happy that atleast I completed the exam successfully. My preparation include reading Enterprise Javabeans 3 book and MZ's notes. Certain chapters in EJB 3 In Action were very useful as well. I would like to thank the members of the SCBCD community for helping me out on various issues. Thank you all.

Kind Regards,

Hi All,

Im getting org.jboss.deployers.spi.DeploymentException while trying to deploy a simple MDB in JBoss 5. The code of the bean and the client are as follows:

1. jbossmq-RakeshQueue-service.xml:
----------------------------------------------

2. MDB Class:
----------------

3. Client:
-----------

4. The stack trace:
----------------------

I request you to point out the steps I need to follow to get this corrected.

Kind Regards,
Rakesh.R
Thank you so much Reza. That was the info that I was looking for.
Hi Vaibhav,

Im not implementing EJB for the first time, although Im new to DI. You can find that Im using Stateless Session bean by looking at the @Stateless annotation. You could also find that Im using Remote view using the @Remote annotation. Im not sure what you meant by creating a new instance of Component Interface.

In GlassFish AS, we would use the ACC application client container to run the client. I wanted to find whether there are similar client containers in JBoss as well.

Hi All,

Im having trouble while using DI. Please help me out. The server that Im using is JBoss 5.

1. Component Interface:
-------------------------

2. Bean Class:
--------------

3. Client:
-------

While running the client, Im getting a NullPointerException. Please indicate me the additional steps that I should follow to correct this.

Kind Regards,

Hi All,

Im using JBoss 5. I wanted to know what are the JAR files that I must include for an application that uses DI rather than JNDI lookup.

Hi All,

When the container starts up, it normally puts a fixed number of equivalent method-ready beans in the bean pool. Now, when the client invokes a method on the EJB Object, it picks up a bean from the pool to service the request. What escapes me is, how does the implementation of the methods that was written for the EJB Object (in the implementation Bean Class) is stuffed into this plain Stateless bean picked up on the fly to service the incoming request. Can someone please explain me what is happening here?

Regards,
Rakesh.R
No Reza, there is no specific problem that im trying to solve. Just wanted to figure out how annotations are working. Thanks for replying.
