Your contribution to the world of java knowledge seekers is great. Keep rocking
Hi,

The author is Cameron McKenzie - Hibernate Made Easy

Even I want to buy the book. I could not find the book in Chennai(Landmark). In case anyone of you have brought the book from Chennai-India, kindly share the details.

Thanks in advance

Congrats Teena.

The most important part is that you have cleared the first step. Polish your skills on areas where you have scored less.

Thanks Krishnan and Teena.

I am thinking of completing SCJD (learn Hibernate parallely) since I want to complete the J2SE certification path and then go for web services. As far as web services is concerned, I am not even exposed to it. Also I want to cross every bridge/path before finally going for the J2EE Architect exam (which would be the "Crown-jewel").

OCP exam is the probably the first certification that I wanted to complete even when I was in my college. Will definitely think about completing the same in future.

Fellow ranchers,

I have cleared my SCWCD 1.5 today, scoring 86% marks. I would like to thank
1. Bryan Basham, Kathy Sierra and Bert Bates of Head First Servlets and JSP
(Simplified explanation to difficult-to-grasp topics with pictures - GREAT Work)
2. All fellow ranchers without whom, this portal wouldn't be as exciting/informative as it is now)
3. Marc Peabody - for his wonderful notes on Design Pattern.(Thanks for your ultra-simplified notes with those keywords fishing out the correct design pattern from those lengthy questions)
4. Marcus Green's notes and quizzes. ( Notes were great from a recollecting stand point. Makes it easier to reconfirm the knowledge base)
5. Enthuware software for simulating the exam so very well. (Thanks to all its members for coming up with the updated version for SCWCD 1.5)

I have already cleared SCBCD (EJB 2.1 specification) and am confused whether to take SCBCD(EJB 3 specification) or to go forward and complete SCJD since it is something that I wanted to complete much earlier. I have been working with Core Java/EJB 2.1 with very little exposure to JSP/Servlets and hence wanted to complete SCWCD and gain exposure.

Also I have no exposure to ORM technologies like Hibernate, which is a "must-have".

Kindly share your comments on how you would go from here.

Thanks,
