I have an XML file in which one of the nodes has a datetime value of format '2008-08-16T23:42:00Z'. When I read the xml file, I read this datetime value as a String. How can I convert this datetime value to a EST and display it as yyyy-MM-dd HH:MI:SS?

My jasper report uses an XML file as the datasource. Below is my XML code.

Here is my JRXML report design.

How can I concatenate the contents of the node <p:TransactionDetailText> and show it as a sentence in my report. My issue is, the number of <p:TransactionDetailText> nodes will not be constant. So I will not be able to use the XPATH's concat function.
I guess the URL was stripped off in my previous post. Below is the URL.

I am using Cewolf tag library to produce graphs in my Java application. When I right click on the graph and look at the URL, it looks like the one below. Is there a way I can change the name "jsessionid" to something else like "imagesessionid"? My issue is, the graphs doesn't show up in a clustered environment as the jsessionid is conflicting with the main applications session ID.

http://<host_name>:<port_number>/<context_root>/cewolf;jsessionid=hWD7Kfzd1j4JD2gXpDS1DXJT8d9Rh40Pkz7ZwdX1025wDzJGLt5d!-1711120257!1256141821266?img=-538018163&width=550&height=250&iehack=.png

By saying "concatenated value" I mean, my Xpath expression should return "AT T/P/O DEFT DID CALLED THE PERSON RESPONSIBLE FOR THE TRANSACTION AND THE CALL WAS NOT ANSWERED. CALL BACK IS SCHEDULED FOR THE SAME.". In Xpath temrinology I believe it's something like concat(p:TransactionDetailText1, p:TransactionDetailText2,........).
I need help with an XPath expression. How do I get a concatenated value of the node <p:TransactionDetailText> based on the sequence in the node <p:TransactionDetailTextSequence>? The number of <p:TransactionDetailText> nodes is not fixed. Below is the XML code I have.

Reducing the width of the image wouldn't help me because I have 5 other images this way and all of them should follow the same width and height dimensions. Is there a way to reduce the width of the bar using something like chartpostprocessor?
Hi,

Is there a way I can reduce the width of the bar in the attached Stacked Bar Chart? I am using Cewolf tag library.

Thanks in advance.

My requirement is to develop a report and I have to get the elements from the xml file using xpath. I have attached an xml file for which I create a datasource for. Can someone help me with an Xpath expression to get the timestamp value for the IdentificationID = 2. If IdentificationID = 2 then ActivityCategoryText will surely be "Arrested". I mean, how would I get the value, 2008-11-02T19:08:00-05:00? Here is my xml instance. I tried to upload an xml file as an attachment. But I am not allowed to attach a file with .xml. So posting the xml code here.
I know I should use an XML parser to parse the xml and I should use itext to output to a pdf. I have written the jdbc connection code also. I stopped at Blob blob = resultSet.getBlob("blobObject").I don't know how to proceed next.

Thanks,
Ram...

Hi,

I need some help in one of my requirements. I have a xml file stored as Blob object in the Oracle database. My requirement is to connect to the database, get the xml file, parse the xml file and output the content of the xml to a pdf. My pdf should be of specific format. Can any one help me with any ideas in this context please? I appreciate if someone can provide me with some sample code.

Thanks,

Hey Dan,

Do you see any exceptions on your Tomcat server? Did you check your log files? Both stdout log and localhostlog? Also check the Tomcat manager for the status of your wars, whether they are deployed..

Hi Sumant,

Wherever you have ".setBorder(1);", make it ".setBorder(-1);"..I think this should solve your purpose. Please let me know if I am wrong.
