Hi,

I am using my <h:dataTable like this,

<h:dataTable class="adresstable"
value="#{pmsBillingCodeWebGuiListBean.patientDisplayList}" var="patient">

<h:column id="delete">
<f:facet name="header">
<h:outputText value=" Select " />
</f:facet>
<h:selectBooleanCheckbox value="#{patient.select}" />
</h:column>
</h:dataTable>

But, when i run my page, i want to select only one checkbox at a time instead of selecting multiple checkbox.

How to resolve this.........

Thanks,
Vinutha.

Hi Manuel,

I made change like this by adding true to itemValue,
<h:selectOneRadio required="true" >
<f:selectItem itemValue="true" itemLabel="Button1"/>
<f:selectItem itemValue="false" itemLabel="Button2" />
</h:selectOneRadio>

but, its not changing.

Thanks,

This is the code for Radio buttons,
When i run my application, "Button1" should be selected automatically.

<h:selectOneRadio required="true" >
<f:selectItem itemValue="Button1" itemLabel="Button1"/>
<f:selectItem itemValue="Button2" itemLabel="Button2" /> </h:selectOneRadio>

so, how to select one Radio button defaultly.

Thanks,

Hi wilhelm,

Thanks for your response,
I solved that problem by keeping managed bean under session.

Thanks,

Hi wilhelm,

Thanks for your reply.
I have included <h:commandLink /> within <h:form></h:form>.
even though its not identifying action method under bean class.

Thanks,
Vinutha.

I have configured my web.xml file as this,

<web-app>
<context-param>
<param-name>javax.faces.DEFAULT_SUFFIX</param-name>
<param-value>.xhtml</param-value>
</context-param>
<servlet>
<servlet-name>Faces Servlet</servlet-name>
<servlet-class>javax.faces.webapp.FacesServlet</servlet-class>
<load-on-startup>1</load-on-startup>
</servlet>
<servlet-mapping>
<servlet-name>Faces Servlet</servlet-name>
<url-pattern>*.jsf</url-pattern>
</servlet-mapping>
<welcome-file-list>
<welcome-file>login.jsf</welcome-file>
</welcome-file-list>
</web-app>

and my login.xhtml file as this,
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"
xmlns:ui="http://java.sun.com/jsf/facelets"
xmlns:h="http://java.sun.com/jsf/html"
xmlns:c="http://java.sun.com/jstl/core"
xmlns:f="http://java.sun.com/jsf/core">
<body>
<f:view>
<h:form>
UserName:<h:inputText id="userName"
value="#{bean.userName}" rendered="true"
required="true"/>
Password:<h:inputText id="password"
value="#{bean.password}" rendered="true"
required="true"/>
<h:commandButton id="submit" value="Submit" action="#{bean.authenticate}" />

</h:form>
</f:view>
</body>
</html>

but when i deploy this using tomcat and try to put url as this,
http://localhost:8080/project

Its not identifying welcome file from web.xml
I am getting error like this,
The requested resource (/project/) is not available.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I am using window.open for this.
Its working fine now.
This is my code,

function fun() {
top.consoleRef=window.open('#{facesContext.externa lContext.requestContextPath}/main/patient/patient.jsf','myconsole',
'width=350,height=250'
+',menubar=0'
+',toolbar=0'
+',status=0'
+',scrollbars=1'
+',resizable=0')
top.consoleRef.document.close()
}

When i click Save command button, the small browser window is opening.
but its opening like browser, i want to open an window with my own custom title at the top of the window.
How to solve this.

Thanks,
Vinutha.

Hi,

I am new to JSF.
I am working with tomahawk under myfaces, their i tried for <t:tree> component. This component is working fine when i create a file as .jsp but its not working with .xhtml file. I am working with facelets, so i need to create files as .xhtml.

Then i came to know about Icefaces, but i dont know how to configure my web.xml file to work with Icefaces. ie, i want to know what taglib.xml file we need to put under WEB-INF folder.
To work with tomahawk, we need to put tomahawk.taglib.xml file under WEB-INF folder. like that which xml file we need to put for Icefaces.

Thanks,
Vinutha.

This is my xhtml page. Here i am using <iframe> and giving source like as shown below,

<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"
xmlns:h="http://java.sun.com/jsf/html"
xmlns:f="http://java.sun.com/jsf/core">
<body>
<f:view>
<h:form>
<iframe width="100%" height="110%" src="main/chartSummary/visits1.xhtml">
</iframe>
</h:form>
</f:view>
</body>
</html>

and this is my visits.xhtml page.

<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"
xmlns:ui="http://java.sun.com/jsf/facelets"
xmlns:h="http://java.sun.com/jsf/html"
xmlns:f="http://java.sun.com/jsf/core">
<body>
<f:view>
<h:form>
<h:dataTable id="adresstable">
<h:column id="date">
<f:facet name="header">
<h:outputText value="FName" />
</f:facet>
<h:outputText value="Vinutha" />
</h:column>
<h:column id="title">
<f:facet name="header">
<h:outputText value="FName" />
</f:facet>
<h:outputText value="ML}" />
</h:column>
</h:dataTable>
</h:form>
</f:view>
</body>
</html>

Now, when i deploy first file, only frame is displaying but its not displaying JSF components within frame.

So, how to work JSF with iframe.......

Thanks,
Vinutha.

If i wont configure this context-param in web.xml, then i can work with only jsp files.
but, now i want to work with both jsp and xhtml files.
To work with xhtml, we need to configure web.xml like this,

<context-param>
<param-name>javax.faces.DEFAULT_SUFFIX</param-name>
<param-value>.xhtml</param-value>
</context-param>

If i configure my web.xml with above context-param, then i am not able to work with jsp files,

So, how to work with both jsp and xhtml files in a single application,

Thanks,
Vinutha.
