Does anybody has used 'Bean Locator' pattern in their life?
I have searched experiences using this pattern and I have not found something.

I glad of have passed the upgrade to Java 8
I used material from the Official Oracle course and the simulator of enthuware that I consider one of the best.

But the sad history is that I won´t receive the hard copy of the certificate nor (I think) the certification card.
I request both but I received this email from Oracle:

Please note that Hard copy printed certificates are no longer available.

Oracle is committed to developing practices and products that help protect the environment.

Check out these quick and easy options for sharing your accomplishment:

  • ..  by claiming and sharing your Oracle Certification Digital Badge.
Download and print your eCertificate ...
Send verification ... through the 'Publish Credentials to Third Parties' link.

  • Part of the joy of being certified is to receive your yellow envelop with the certificate some days later.

Is it really a compromise with the environment or a cut of cost to be more profitable?.

Even that I'm glad to have reached this objective and I expect that Oracle really don't turn this exciting process in a simple business of selling digital recognition's

    Thanks

    Hello Frits-Johan

I adquired a simulator for OCPJP7 from Enthuware in the past and I got a very good result, but I started studying serveral resources before to use the simulator.

    Some questions
    * I would like to know what books are good option to read.
    * I would like to know How close this questions are? regarding the real exam
    * What will be the price for this product and If there is the possibility to get a discount for the javaranchers who participate in these threads?

    Thank you
    Hello Everybody

After 3 months, last june 26, I received an email with the results of the OCMJEA for JEE6 beta exam and I passed with 76%

I received some points of feedback like:

  • Classify security threats to an enterprise application select measures an architect can propose to mitigate them.
  • Identify design patterns that address specific challenges in the web tier, including authentication, authorization, and scaling and clustering to meet demand.
  • Identify techniques associated with declarative and programmatic security, including the use of annotations, deployment descriptors, and JAAS technology.
  • Identify the APIs available for a Java EE technology-based system to communicating with external resources, including JPA, JDBC, RMI, Web Services, JMS, and JCA. Outline the benefits and drawbacks of each approach.
  • and so on

  • Even this is not a great score it has its value due to it was a beta Exam there were no enough resources to study.

    Hello Everybody

Last tuesday (june 26) I received an email with the results of this beta exam and I passed with 76%

I received some points of feedback like:

  • Classify security threats to an enterprise application select measures an architect can propose to mitigate them.
Identify design patterns that address specific challenges in the web tier, including authentication, authorization, and scaling and clustering to meet demand.

  • and so on

Like other people I agree that some questions of the exam were not clear.
Now I need to study to cover these gaps

    Hi

It was easy, if you complete your study using the enthuware simulator you won't have problem to pass.

For me, the most difficult questions were about new fork/join concurrent API and the use of concurrent collections.

I learned the new features of java 7 from the Oracle site but I exercised the tricky parts to consider using the simulator.

    bye.

    Hello everybody

This week I passed the upgrade exam for OCPJP 7

I would like to share the resources I used to study, they basically were:

  • The Oracle page for study of Java SE 7 Upgrade Exam
  • And the enthuware simulator for the 805 exam.

  • There was something different with respect Sun certifications: I didn't receive my results immediately.
At the end, the system informed me that I need to wait for an email within the 30 minutes after finish the exam with instructions about how to review my results.
After some minutes I received my results.

    Good luck for all!

    Greetings

    Cheers!

    Hello

I think this book will be useful for me to study for the upgrade for OCMJEA 6.0.

    Thank you for this effort.

    Hello Again.

I would like to hear your opinion about the prerequisite of taking the Oracle Certification Course in order to be eligible to take the certification exams.

Your book or another related could replace the prerequisite course?

    Thanks
    Hello Ameritendu

From the view point of a buyer, my questions are:

Can this book help me in my daily architecture decisions or is only focused in to pass the exam?
Do you provide some theory or references to improve the knowledge of an Architect?
Regarding to the book of Mark Cade, What your book cover that the another book doesn't?

    Thanks
    Regards
    Hi.

I used jpg images in my html documentation. The format png is visible from a html document so I suppose there is not problem.
