this is now ok.

MyEclipse tomcat is allowing the executeQuery on insert/update statements. But doesnt have any error raised on Oracle Application Server release 3.
I tried to deploy it on OC4J standalone and found the error "SQL string is not Query".

unfortunately,there was one statement in my code that uses ExecuteQuery on update statement.

Many thanks.

Hi guys,

I have a war file with a simple JDBC connection. I didnt use DATA SOURCE coz im only using one table. I have my application developed using myeclipse and apache tomcat
which is perfectly connecting to Oracle 10g Database. But when i uploaded the war file in the application server and tried to run the web app, it seems
like its not selecting/updating/inserting into the table. I checked the logs but did not found any significant JDBC error. I used ojdbc14.jar in my
web app.

Please help.

thanks,

Hi there!

I badly need help. I am task to do a Single Sign on application across multiple web applications. Each web application with their own authentication mechanism. The Single sign on application will be authenticating from an OID LDAP server which i can do so far.
My probem is how can i bypass/skip the login page of each web application. I am thinking of supplying encrypted username and password automatically by passing these parameters to URL with POST method.
What i am thinking is mimicking the behavior of logging in programmatically. Can I do that?

Please help. Thanks a lot.

Hi,

I'm quite new to Display Tag. I want to pass the value of the rowid selected
but there's seems to be no event onclick on <display:column>. I'm not sure how can i used the uid attribute. As i understand, i can refer to the uid_RowNum to the current row number.

Please help.

Thanks a lot.

Hi Sameer,

In your struts-config.xml,

<form-beans>
<form-bean name="addressForm" type="struts.example.AddressForm">
</formbean>

<action
path="/AddressJavascriptValidation"
type="struts.example.AddressValidatorAction"
name="addressForm"
scope="request"
validate="true"
input="/AddressJavascriptValidation.jsp">
<forward name="success" path="/SuccessValidator.jsp"/>
</action>

In the action class, change the name attribute to "addressForm".

Hi Sameer,

The formname should be the same as the one declared in the struts-config.xml
form bean property name attribute. The first letter of the name should be in small letter.

try changing "AddressForm" to "addressForm" in this line code.

Not:
<html:javascript formName="AddressForm" dynamicJavascript="true" staticJavascript="true" />

Correct:
<html:javascript formName="addressForm" dynamicJavascript="true" staticJavascript="true" />

Hi Sameer,

Please post your validation.xml.

In your form-validation, it should have something like this:

<form name="AddressForm">
<field property="username" depends="required">
<arg key="prompt.key"/>
</field>
</form>

*Make sure your "prompt.key" is in your message resource bundle.

Make sure also that that in your struts-config.xml, validate attribute in your action is set to true. Something like this.

<action
name="AddressForm"
path="/AddressJavascriptValidation"
scope="request"
type="com.rms.struts.action.AdressAction"
input="AddressJavascriptValidation.jsp"
parameter="parameter"
validate="true">
<forward name="initialize" path="AddressJavascriptValidation.jsp" />
<forward name="failure" path="AddressJavascriptValidation.jsp"/>

</action>

Hope this helps.

Hi Merill,

Thanks.I already solved the problem. Yes i needed, the page attribute because i have multiple JSP that points to one action class. In the "indexedListProperty" attribute,i put the bean collection name (education) and the bean property in the "property" attribute - (nameOfSchool).

-----------------
Struts-Config.xml
-----------------
<form-bean name="applicantForm" type="org.apache.struts.validator.DynaValidatorForm" extends="baseForm">

<form-property name="education" type="com.rms.struts.model.ApplicantEducation[]" size="3" />

--------------
Validation.xml
--------------
<field property="nameOfSchool" page="2" indexedListProperty="education" depends="required">
<arg key="prompt.nameOfSchool"/>
</field>

Thanks a lot = )

Hi there!

I have a question regarding DynamicActionForm. I have the ff. Stugs-config.xml

<form-bean name="appEmpHistoryForm" type="org.apache.struts.action.DynaActionForm">
<form-property name="empHistory" type="com.rms.struts.model.ApplicantEmpHistory[]" size="1"/>
<form-property name="topSkills" type="com.rms.struts.model.ApplicantTopSkills[]" size="1"/>

</form-bean>

Initiallly, i set the size to 1. In my JSP, i have an ADD button. Upon clicking the ADD button i want the size to increase as well as the HTML objects. Is this possible? or i need to do DOM?

Need help.
