Hi,

Thanks for your quick reply,

The problem is in both cases, retrieving data from database and rendering the extracted data and rendering the data in the UI. We have fine-tuned the database part by implementing indexing on database. But the Virtualizer in JasperReports is helping us out.

Please suggest some alternatives to solve this problem.

Thanks,

Hi All,

We are using JasperReports in our web-application to generate the reports. Currently we are facing performance issues when we try to retrieve huge data in the report. We need to wait for long time to view the data in the report and we mostly see a blank page in most cases.

Even the web-application is also very due to the reports. Can anyone suggest me how to overcome the problem?

Thanks,

Hi,

Thanks for the solution. I've tried this too. This was successful in all the operating systems except in windows 2003 server.

Hi,

I have a requirement in which I need to display an image which resides on a remote machine using a servlet. I have tried using a servlet in which content -type of response is set to html and displaying the image using the img tag.

But that trial is in vein as this will not work when accessing the servlet from the client machine.

Can anyone please suggest me the way to achieve this??

Thanks,

hi bunny

We can use external styles in JasperReports. We need to create JRTX files and if we mention the location of the jrtx file in report the styles mentioned in jrtx file will be applied in the report.

Refer to this link for extra information:

Hi Friends,

I am using Jasperreports in my application to generate reports. In one of my reports i have a requirement to show summary on the first page of the report. In that summary If i click on any row, the report should show the details of that particular say it it should show the detail section of the report.

I'm using a subreport to display summary in the first page. But I'm unable to navigate to master report from subreport. Can anyone suggest me the alternative to achieve this....

We have a requirement in our application in which if a user clicks on pprint button only the report is to be printed. If the print menu item of browser is clicked we'll get the print-out of all other unwanted content of the page...right

Its a web-browser. In JasperReports a JasperPrint object will be passed to print the report.
