Hello.
I can't read edited code. The font is too small ! Can't you used the same size as the text.
Thanks for all your usefull pieces of advice.

Hello.
I am not sure of what you want but what you write will do the test for each value in raaray and will do the 'then' or the 'else' depending on the current value. If you loop 10 times you do the 'if then else' statement tem times.
If you want to make it only one time you have to make a loop to test each value then rizing a flag to said all tests failed and outside of the loop making your 'if then else' stament.
hope it helps.

Hello
Just one answer
Symetric means you use the same key to crypt en read your text.
Assymetric means you use one kay for crypting and a different one for reading.

Hello.
public static String return_vowel (String s) {
String vowel //Move definition here
String n = s;
for (int i = 0; i < n.length(); i++){
if (n.charAt(i) == 'a' | | n.charAt(i) == 'e' | | n.charAt(i) == 'i'
| | n.charAt(i) == 'o' | | n.charAt(i) == 'u' | | n.charAt(i) == 'y'){
vowel = vowel+(n.charAt(i));//Cacnatenate current char with previous result
}
}
return vowel;//Return result when you have finish with the loop
}
I did test it, but your code should near that.
And for simpler readin use indentention for "if()" and "for()"
statements.
Hope it helps.

The simpliest way I know to emcrypt is to make an exclusive or on the char code with an arbitrary long char string.
XOR table
True xor true => false
true xor false => true
false xor true => true
fals xor false => false
string_1 xor entrypting_string = encrypt_string
encrypt_sting xor encrypting_string = string_1
Don't know how to write this in Java but I hope it will help.
This is not a very strong encryptation because the key is allways the same en write in the code but for simple purpose it's enought.

You use i as an index and to read your char. Use i only as the loop index.

Hello,
I don't knwon if it comes from the function you use to compare string but you can try to display each byte of your good[] array so you can see what they realy are. You may have an unvisible charater like asc(000) witch is different of a space but sometime looks like on screen.
