Of course you can.
I did part I in Naples, Italy, and part II-III in Dublin, Ireland, without any problems.

Good luck ;-)
Fabio check on Prometric web site today,
eventually they changed the status of my exam and only now it's "passed" instead of "tested".

good luck :-)
I completely disagree with you, for my experience of course: certification helped my to have a job, to have more knowledge and to wear my cv in a very elegant mode, can you have a job interview with a t-shirt?

There is a great difference between a certified programmer and a not certified programmer: a lot of time a not certified programmer doesn't know libraries, API, JVM mechanisms (SCJP) or beans rules, policies, ..(SCBCD), patterns, design, approaches (SCEA).. they can work using their experience (could be good or not).

Of course you can have the same knowledge of a not certified programmer/developer/architect, but If I have two cv and I have to choice only one, I will have a look on the clothings, and believe me, a certified cv have elegant clothings ;-)

But this is only a point of view. Take it easy.

no emails from Sun and on the Prometric History the exam is still "Tested". I guess that for the moment the results are only in the Sun DB, but I think we can trust it ;-)
certified!!

March MSC in Computer Science, July SCJP, October SCBCD5, December SCEA5
Burk, why are you "waiting on results of Part II and preparing for Part III" as I can read on your signature?
If you have submitted the beta assignment, you have to do the part III as soon as possible, no later than December 26th 2007. As I can read on my assignment pdf, "You will receive a single score for parts 2 and 3".

or am I in a mistake?
the questions of the essay exam are about design/decisions/non-functional-requirements for a general enterprise application, but your answers must be related to your assignment submission of course
Hi guys,
I've made the essay exam this morning.
8 essay question (not 4, I think because is a beta exam)

You can do the essay exam without any stress, is simple, the questions are clear and brief. Questions about non functional requirements, persistence strategy, ejb used, if happen x where you have to make a refactoring and so on.

I really think that anyone can pass the essay exam, so don't stress yourself ;-)

The report say that we will have a result no after the 15th February :-S, very long time, I hope it will be more short.

Good luck!
ack received.

"Confirming that we received your assignment; thank you.

Please recall that you will need to complete the Part 3 Essay exam no later than December 26th, 2007. Also, we recommend that you schedule your Part 3 essay exam as soon as possible, as many testing centers have reduced hours or may be closed for the last 2 weeks of December due to holiday or vacation periods."

So guys, come on! Tomorrow I'll have the essay exam :-)

Good luck!
hi to all,
I've submitted my assignment this morning, the jar with "jar cvf scea-xxxx.jar scea-xxxx/*"

only one doubt, if you use "jar xf scea-xxx.jar" you can see all the files in the cwd, but if you extract with winrar/winzip su see a dir scea-xxxx that contains all the files.

It's ok or I've made a mistake? :-S

Thanks in advance.
hi, congratulations to everyone

passed: 58% (I'm a very lucky man!!!) :-)
hi :-)
yesterday I've taken the exam:
- a lot of ambiguous questions about responsibilities of Bean
Provider, Application Assembler, Deployer, etc..
- Only two simple questions on JQL: the first: drag&drop, an update
query, the second: query with aggregation operators.
- Only two question about xml elements
- Three questions about entity relationship: ManyToMany, OneToMay
- One question about persistent context propagation
- 4-5 questions about transaction propagations
- Questions about invocation sequence of interceptors on a hierarchy,
entity listeners on a hierarchy
- 3 questions about MDB: about Topic destination, about transaction
- 4-5 question about allowed operations

I've studied for a month on MK Guide (thanks!!!), OReally EJB book
(the best), and on Apress JPA. MK guide follow precisely the
certification program but for its nature it is based on each point
with the related explanation without a description of the argument,
the problem or the reasons, so for me you have to read the guide with
the OReally book near for all the arguments and with the Apress for
entity beans.
without mock questions is very hard to study, but a lot of old mock
questions (about the old SCBCD) about transaction, about lifecycle,
are very useful!
