If u compare a String with String Buffer using the equals method and they have exactly the same text will it always return false??
they may be answers in the mock exam but as the sun exam see them as deprecated and they would not be accepted as right answers. I may be wrong though
if they r deprecated then dont choose them
4 wont work cos append is a Stringbuffer method not a String method.
correct me if im wrong but the string concat method wont work cos it doesnt accept an object only string in its constructor. If the constructor took in a string it would create a new string object and there would not be a compile error.
s.trim() is fine, it is a method of the string class, will create a new string but that is not a problem. U can create a new string but u cannot change a string.
surely d is wrong, as a an overriding method cannot throw any exceptions other than that thrown by the overridden method. An arithmetic exception is not a subclass of an IO exception is it?
This has probably come up loads of times, some seem to think that overloading is polymorphism, i reckon its overriding.
What does the SUN exam want as an answer to the question?
