Thanks for your reply...

I appears I was just being daft...What I wanted to accomplish could be done with a simple copy tag Eg:

the crucial bit I was missing was that an exploded war is just a directory with a filename like xxxxx.war - I was trying to create one using a war tag when all I needed to do was copy the directory.....d'oh :-)

Hi,

I'm currently using Ant to deploy my (compressed) ear file containing my application and also an associated war file that contains all web resources for the app (javascript, images, css etc).

I want the resources war file to be UNcompressed so I can change it directly on the server without having to recompile, deploy etc a reasonably heavyweight enterprise app.

I thought I'd be able to easily do this by setting the compress attribute of the war tag to false/no/off - but when I do this, the resultant war file is still compressed. Eg

I've also tried using the jar tag Eg

...but to no avail...

Has anyone had any experience or ever wanted to do this? Any advice would be gratefully received - I'm sure this should be easy :-)

Cheers,

Paul
