I have increased upto 256M and unable to increase more than that. it gives the following error:
Error occurred during initialization of VM
Could not reserve enough space for object heap
Could not create the Java virtual machine.

Could you please let me know, is there any way to clear VM space, while we are running continuous builds.

Please help us to resolve the above issue.

Hi All,

I am running the ANT script at Command prompt C:\Application>, which can build around 30 applications in single shot.
So, before running the script I have set the PremGen space as follows:

C:\Application>set JAVA_OPTS="-Xms128m -Xmx1024m -XX:MaxPermSize=1024m"
C:\Application>ant buildMainApplication.

But, middle of ant build, it is giving us Out of Memory: PremGen space.

Could any body please help me to resolve this issue.

Dear Amir,

Thank you for your Replay.

Could you please let me know, Where will i get the antlib.xml.

I think, because of the xml file missing, I am getting the following error:
Could not create task or type of type: trycatch.

<taskdef resource="net/sf/antcontrib/antlib.xml" />

Hi All,

I have one requirement, to copy the local files to remote system.
I have done the following steps:

download the jsch-0.1.40.jar;
E:\AntTest>set path=E:\AntTest\jsch-0.1.40.jar;%path%;
E:\AntTest>set classpath=E:\AntTest\jsch-0.1.40;%classpath%;

E:\AntTest>ant copyFileToRemote
Buildfile: build.xml

[echo] 2222222222 copyFileToRemote Examples:::::::::::::

E:\AntTest\build.xml:28: Could not create task or type of type: scp.
Ant could not find the task or a class this task relies upon.
This is common and has a number of causes; the usual
solutions are to read the manual pages then download and
install needed JAR files, or fix the build file:
- You have misspelt 'scp'.
Fix: check your spelling.
- The task needs an external JAR file to execute
and this is not found at the right place in the classpath.
Fix: check the documentation for dependencies.
Fix: declare the task.
- The task is an Ant optional task and the JAR file and/or libraries
implementing the functionality were not found at the time you
yourself built your installation of Ant from the Ant sources.
Fix: Look in the ANT_HOME/lib for the 'ant-' JAR corresponding to the
task and make sure it contains more than merely a META-INF/MANIFEST.MF.
If all it contains is the manifest, then rebuild Ant with the needed
libraries present in ${ant.home}/lib/optional/ , or alternatively,
download a pre-built release version from
- The build file was written for a later version of Ant
Fix: upgrade to at least the latest release version of Ant
- The task is not an Ant core or optional task
and needs to be declared using <taskdef>.
- You are attempting to use a task defined using
<presetdef> or <macrodef> but have spelt wrong or not
defined it at the point of use

The Build file as follows:

<project name="ImportedBuild" default="all">
<target name="copyFileToRemote">
<echo>2222222222 copyFileToRemote Examples:::::::::::::</echo>
<scp file="sample.txt" todir="${username}:${password}@${hostname}:/shared"/>

Could you please give me any solution to resolve this issus and provide any examples . It would be great help to me.

Hi All,

I have one replace.xml with Task1 and MainBuild.xml , SubBuild1.xml , SubBuild2.xml

The replace.xml:
<target name="task1"></target>
<target name="task2"></target>

In the MainBuild.xml
<import file="replace.xml">
<target name="">
<ant antfile="/sample/SubBuild1.xml" target="build"/>
<ant antfile="/sample/SubBuild1.xml" target="build"/>

But i need to call replace.xml targets from the Sub Build files and need not imported replace.xml in sub build files.
Is it posiible by using ANT script and could you please let me know any other ways to achive this task.
It would be great help.

I want to rename the content of some files (by replacing a string with another) of a specific type (.htm) in a directory including all subdirectories.

Running an "Ant replace task" will do the work:

<target name="rename">
<replace dir="mydir" token="one" value="two">
<include name="**/*.htm"/>

This works fine, however I want the replace to be NON-casesensitive, so that e.g. 'ONE' is also replaced by 'two'.

How do I do that?

Hi All,

I am new to JMeter. I am using jakarta-jmeter-2.3.2, Tomcat 4.0.28 and I have configured My Web Application on JMeter for load testing. But I am unable to test my Login page using JMeter.

The Login Page requries user credentials, but I don't know how to configure user credentials in my login pagethrough JMeter.

It gives "User Account is Inactive", means Login failure.

But I am able to login to my application directly without using JMeter, ie, Web Browser.

Please help anybody to solve this problem or guide me and provide any documents for JMeter Configuration. Please It is very urget requirment.

Thanks & Regards,

how about inserting code in your program something like this to know if there is an error

if (super.cachedEndpoint == null) {
throw new org.apache.axis.NoEndPointException();
