Hi Tim,

I just wanted to build the application from the scratch considering learning purposes.
Anyway, thanks for the suggestion. Will try it out.

Hi All,

I'm trying to come up with a web based chat application similar to facebook chat, to be able to support online customer care on a product site. I'm a bit confused on the technology selection for the chat application. It should be a light weight app and should not impact much on the main application flow.

Followings are the technologies used in the project to implement core functionalities;
- JSP
- Servlet
- Spring

I did some searching and figured JMS approach is a bit expensive performance wise. Considering Ajax as an option.

It would be of great help if you share any thought on this, so that I would be able to select the best option.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply Mark.

I managed to get the Remote, Local Session beans and Remote Entity bean working. Still struggling with the Local Entity bean injection. Both the EJBs and the Spring services are deployed under the same VM, so accessing the Local Entity bean methods should be theoretically feasible, even though I could not find any online resources to confirm it. Trying to figure it out.

Thanks again ...

Hi all,

I'm new to Spring, and have a basic question regarding Spring-EJB Integration.

I have an application developed using EJB 2.1. The application uses both session beans and entity beans. I have a separate module developed using Spring.

Now I need to access the EJB entity beans through a Spring service.
1) Is this technically possible as far as Spring-EJB Integration support is concerned?
2) If yes, please be kind enough to share any useful resources.

Thanks in advance.

It is said that element names cannot start with the string "xml" (or "XML", "Xml", etc). If an instance violates this rule, does it give an error when trying to parse the xml document?

I intentionally violated the rule and tried opening the xml document using the browser and it did not give me any error.
Browser : Internet Explorer 6.0

Someone please enlighten me.
Hi everyone,

I need to know the available free/open source tools for testing data binding related information. Currently I'm using JAXB to do the data marshalling and unmarshalling.

- Can Junit be used to perform the unit tests for such instances? What are the constraints if Junit is used?
- What are the other recommended tools for performing such tests.

Thanks in advance.

Hi all,

I am using Teamprise plug-in for Eclipse.

I need to modify the TFSBuild.proj file in a way such that only a selected set of files are being taken instead of getting all the files under the workspace as specified in the default CoreGet target.

I am thinking of overriding the "CoreGet" to achieve this, but have no proper idea of how to do that. Will it work when I set the "FileSpec" property of "Get" task to the path of the folder containing the files which need to be taken.

Does anyone of you have an idea of how to do this? If yes, please let me know.
Thanks in advance.
Hi all,

I need to know of a way or an available tool to support testing performance of an EJB 3 module. For an example, I need to test how many transactions can be handled by the module per minute, etc.

If any of you are aware of such a tool or methodology, please let me know. Any relevant references will be highly appreciate.

Thanks in advance.

Hi all,

I need to take an input value in order to proceed with the execution while calling the targets in the build file.

I tried it with the <input> task. I can take the input value using that, but I have no idea how to proceed with the rest of task calling depending on the provided input. It would be great if any of you can provide me with an appropriate example.

Or else, is it possible to take input arguments in the following format?;

>> ant <target> <input arg>

Note:
Being more specific, what I need to do is to create a property file for a merchant with the name of the merchant provided as an input. There is an existing property file which is being used as a template. What needs to be done is to make a copy of it and save it by the name of the merchant.

Thanks in advance.

What I need to do is to make sure that the content of the request which is being submitted by the client is secured. For an example, I need to avoid data being modified by some external party while it is being transmitted to the server from the client via http.

I thought of using SSL connections, but I do not have any kind of experience on dealing with SSL in a client server scenario.

Hi all,

I need a way to secure http Request objects sent from the client's web browser to the server end. Or else, securing the content of the objects instead of securing the object itself will be sufficient. Can any of you let me know of appropriate ways of achieving this objective. Providing of any relevant sources will be highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I manged to fix the problem.

It was some encoding issue. I encoded the byte[] before encryption using Base64 and decoded the byte[] to be decrypted using Base64. Then the problem was solved. (You can use either Base64 or Hex for encoding and decoding. Both work fine.)

Hi all,

I am developing a J2ME application which uses Bouncy Castle crypto API to handle the security. I use RSA public and private keys to encrypt and decrypt the strings which are SMS messages.

The encryption is done using the public key and it executes successfully. But when I try to decrypt the encrypted text using the private key it gives the following Exception;

InvalidCipherTextException: unknown block type Exception

If any of you aware of a solution to overcome this, please let me know.

Thanks in advance.
