Hi All,

I am getting below exception while deploying my application on WebSphere Application Server 8.5.5

java.lang.RuntimeException: SRVE8111E: The application, MyEAR, is trying to modify a cookie which matches a pattern in the restricted programmatic session cookies list [domain=*, name=JSESSIONID, path=/].

I found that if I remove below entry from my web.xml [session-config], then no error is shown with deployment and every things works fine.
<cookie-config>
<http-only>true</http-only>
</cookie-config>
<tracking-mode>COOKIE</tracking-mode>

The same ear is able to deploy and run perfectly with JBOSS and WebLogic server.

Please let me know what configuration change I have to do in which xml file to overcome this issue.

My application has application.xml, jboss-deployment-structure.xml and weblogic-application.xml.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Folk,

I have passed the SCBCD 5.0 exam toady with 93% marks.

My preparation includes
- Three month of continues preparation
- Book
Head First EJB 2.0 by Kathy Sierra
Enterprise JavaBeans 3.0, Fifth Edition by Richard Monson-Haefel, Bill Burke (Oreilly)
- Used the simulator from EnthuWare.

Although EJB 2.0 is not required to appear in the EXAM for EJB 3.0, I purchased an go through that book. This book helped me in understanding the concepts very easily. Further I have the feel for both EJB 2.0 and EJB 3.0

As being a professional Java Developer, you can not say ya I know EJB 3 but can not work in EJB 2. Even you have to work on maintenances projects which were developed in older version. So you must have a feel for that.

Thanks to you all.

Well, for preparation,

I have used the book HEAD FIRST Servlet & JSP. And use the simulator from Wizlabs.

I came to know about SCWCD1.5 very late. That's why I did not appear for 1.5 examination.

Now I am aiming for SCBCD.
Earlier I have cleared SCJP 1.5 with 83%.
Cleared SCWCD 1.4 - 78% on 31st March 2008.

I was amazed to see 80 question in the exam instead of 69.
We have 8 Listeners. I am concerned with ServletRequestListener.

I think both the filter and request listener is working similarly. So which is the best.
