I have the following function:

Then I put the following into a "p" tag to display the result at that location:

How can I get it to display into the status bar instead???

I am using scripts I located at dynamicdrive.com since I don't know much about javascript. Here they are and thanks for your help:

*** This is the tooltip code****

< style type="text/css" <

#dhtmltooltip{
position: absolute;
width: 150px;
border: 2px solid black;
padding: 2px;
background-color: lightyellow;
visibility: hidden;
z-index: 100;
/*Remove below line to remove shadow. Below line should always appear last within this CSS*/
filter: progid XImageTransform.Microsoft.Shadow(color=gray,direction=135);
}

< /style <

How can I get the x/y coordinates of an area and then post them into a tooltip which follows the mouse?

I can get the coordinates and show them in a <p> tag or <div> tag location by calling my function, however, I cannot get them to display to the tooltip which calls its own function. Therefore, I need help crossing the bridge from coord() into tootip().
