Hi All,
I need to change the information of user of weblogic 6.0
i.e. userid and password through java program and not using admin console. Can you please help me out?
Thanks,
Nabha
hi Kareem ...
whenever the user performs a certain action (let's not go into the details of that.. since it is specific to my application), the request goes back to the servlet which will contain the logic to insert row. So in the servlet i am actually inserting the row and the HTML page is generated and shown to the user.

Hi,
Can anyone suggest a solution to the following problem :
I have an HTML table (or a JSP) with say 5 rows. This HTML is thrown by a servlet.
Depending on some user inputs, I want to insert a row in the table.. say at position 2.. i.e a row should get inserted in between the existing rows and not get appended to the existing rows.
thanks in advance !!

Hi,
There could be one reason why your page is not getting displayed in Netscape.
Have u included the <FORM></FORM> tags in your HTML code?? Unless and until these tags r there in the code, Netscape won't display the page !!

Hi All,
I am trying to work on new feature of EJB 2.0. i.e. Local interfaces.
I have written the Entity Bean (CMP) that has Local intereface.
the declaration is as follows:
"public interface LocalAddress extends EJBLocalObject"
Now when I complie the error I get is:
"
LocalAddress.java:12: cannot resolve symbol
symbol : class EJBLocalObject
location: package ejb
import javax.ejb.EJBLocalObject;
"
I have ejb20.jar file installed and it is there in the classpath. I have checked the class in weblogic.jar file(weblogic 6.0). Its not there. Howerver these local class files are there in the weblogic.jar file of weblogic 6.1.
Also the weblogic (6.0) documentation do not say that this feature is not supported in weblogic 6.0.
Is any body worked on local interfaces for entity beans on weblogic 6.0? If yes, Pl. share your experiance.
Thanks in Advance,
Nabha

The servlet is running through the servletrunner on my machine.
That was the reason why I gave that path.
I also tried the following path: http://127.0.0.1:8080/servlet/AddNewRowServlet
(i.e the URL which appears in the browser for the first time)
but nothing is working !!!
----
I tried with the folwoing URL http://127.0.0.1:7001/servlet/AddNewRowServlet
This time it gave me differnt exception for the methid sendRedirect() ... "response already committed" . It do not exxcute the method. Still not got the solution...

Hi,
I have a strange problem with servlets:
Let me first describe the requirement.
I have a servlet which throws an HTML page. The HTML form contains a table and a button. On clicking the button, I need to add a new row to the table.
Now the problem is:
For the first time when I click on the button, a row gets added properly. But if I refresh the browser, again a row gets added.
This happens everytime I refresh the browser.
Has anyone faced this kind of a problem? In case if u know the solution please share it...
thanks in advance !!!

Dear Rahul and Gorge,
Thank you both. The above exception was misleading ...
It was about the entry of data-source-name in weblogic-cmp-rdbms-jar.xml and the URL for the oracle driver.
The correct entry is: <data-source-name>nabha</data-source-name>
I have created the data-source using admin console in which mentioned the connection pool name and jndi name. It is as follows:
<JDBCDataSource JNDIName="nabha" Name="nabha" PoolName="MyPool" Targets="myserver"/>
Then I have created connection pool using admin console:
<JDBCConnectionPool CapacityIncrement="1" DeploymentOrder="1000"
DriverName="oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver" InitialCapacity="0"
JDBCXADebugLevel="0" LoginDelaySeconds="0" MaxCapacity="5"
Name="MyPool" Properties="password=pwd;username=unm"
RefreshMinutes="0" ShrinkPeriodMinutes="15"
ShrinkingEnabled="true" SupportsLocalTransaction="false"
Targets="myserver" TestConnectionsOnRelease="false"
TestConnectionsOnReserve="false" URL="jdbc racle:thin:username/password@host ort:sid"/>
The bean is deployed.

This information is very useful for me. thanks to you all. However I want to know the consequences of having two instances of weblogic server on single m/c.
