Its absolutly possible. Just append the data you want to send with query string.
Here is the systax.

But it won't forward the existing request to the servlet. For doing so take a look at <jsp:forward....

JSP
Seems like you haven't set path of your action class correctly in struts-config.xml.

Thanks,

3rd way is looking good to me. You can store the information from DB into cache and take the data from cache if its not empty.

Hi,
I got a workaround for this issue. I have disabled the cookie and enable URLRewriting using follwing lines of code in weblogic.xml.

After comparing Remote Start setup from DEV and PREPROD the only differenct I found is Arguments ...

In DEV it is :-

-Djava.compiler=NONE -Xrunjdwp:transport=dt_socket,server=y,address=28015,suspend=n -Xdebug -Xnoagent -Xms100m -Xmx100m -XX:NewSize=64m -XX:MaxNewSize=64m -XX:SurvivorRatio=6 -Xrs

In PREPROD it is :-

-Xms100m -Xmx100m -XX:NewSize=64m -XX:MaxNewSize=64m -XX:SurvivorRatio=6 -Xrs

Kindly let me know if this might be the reason for my issue. I cannot not test it on PREPROD before having good knowledge on it...

Please advise

Hi Marcos,

Thanks a lot for your reply!

After doing some more research I found that I am getting same issue with Weblogic 8 but on different Environment. On DEV Environment application is working perfectly but on PREPROD Environment its throwing this error.

Also I am getting the similar error message if User try to run the same application on two different browser (But only on PREPROD).

I could not send you the code because this error is coming up from Request Processor.

I thing somehow my object data is getting lost if User clicks the back button or try two different windows due to which strus form is unable to populate the data.

My Question is why this is happing only in PREPROD Environment or Weblogic 10. But not on other Environments.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Hi,
We have upgraded our weblogic server from version 8 to 10. We are using Struts framework to run our application.

Here is the issue which we are facing :-

When User click the Browser back button we are forwarding the user to same page using "history.forward(1)". Now if user clicks on submit the page I am getting following error message.

The same application is working fine with weblogic 8. Is there any problem with weblogic 10 setup? or there is something to do with cookie setting?

Please advise.

Thanks in Advance,
Vaibhav

Hi,

We are upgrating to weblogic 10. I am getting following warning while building my Application.

warning: [deprecation] getServerName() in weblogic.management.Admin has been deprecated [javac] + Utils.scrubForFilename(Admin.getServerName())

I am importing "weblogic.management.Admin" package but seems like it has been deprecated.

Could you please suggest me the replacement for the same.

Thanks in Advance!

Hi Merrill,

Thanks for giving the hint.

I have updated my weblogic.xml with following

<session-descriptor>
<session-param>
<param-name>URLRewritingEnabled</param-name>
<param-value>True</param-value>
</session-param>
<session-param>
<param-name>CookiesEnabled</param-name>
<param-value>False</param-value>
</session-param>
</session-descriptor>

and seems like my application is using URL rewriting because I could see "jsessionId" got appended to my URL.

Thanks a lot!

Thanks for your response!

Could you tell me any solution for this problem without actually going to User's machine and enabling the cookie.
Is there any way that session object created by us should not use cookie.

How are you redirecting to same page. I mean, Are you forwarding to the same page or redirecting to it?
