When there is exception in the backing bean, a blank page is displayed. I was expecting response with status code 500. When I debug the http response the status code is 200. I have configured the webapp to display error page on status code 500. Since it is not returning status code 500, this page is not displayed.

In web.xml

I am using Sun RI Implementation of JSF on weblogic 10.3

Please some one help me.

Here's a stack trace.

Note :I purposely introduced devide by zero exception in my backing bean action.

I have scrollable datatable, in which i have implemented custom filter using filtermethod in column tag. I can see the scroll bar and able to scroll but I have 2 problems
1) Custom filter is not working
2) Sorting is not working
Everything works fine if i use plain simple Datatable but I need scroll bar for my datatable.
I am putting both the flavours of my page

Please can anyone tell me what is going wrong ?

here's my code using scrollableDataTable :
Code:

I deployed my JSF application from workspacestudio 1.1 (workshop for weblogic 10) to weblogic 10 server. It works fine for me.
All other teammates are facing problem with their deployment. They get an error as
<Failure occurred in the execution of deployment request with ID '1219300288452' for task '0'. Error is: 'weblogic.application.ModuleException: com.sun.faces.util.Util.getLogger(Ljava/lang/String;)Ljava/util/logging/Logger;'

Please can someone tell me the reason for this behaviour?

To be more precise I have a normal datatable (no radiobutton. no commandbutton, no commandlink) which displays data. I have a commandlink on the page. On clicking the datatable row the Row is highlighted. After that I click on the commandLink to perform action "edit". Edit action should display the form with the field from datatable row highlighted.

To do this what I have done is on clicking row I call javascript function and get the rowindex. I put this row index value in hidden field using the javascript function. This is working fine. Now I want this value in the hidden field to be submitted to Backing bean on clicking the commandlink.
