By the way an update on this - i was using maven for the build ... so finally i figured a way out for this . while creating the jars put in all the dependent jars - i am not too sure if it's the correct approach but since the program that i was trying to do is a standalone one i thought of using it ... in pom.xml you can use the following plugin

and create the jar using

and execute as you normally do using

Hi,

I have just started working on springs and have done my first "Hello World" example. It is working fine - one place that i am getting stuck with is do i need to set the spring.jar and related jar's in my classpath in order to execute it from the command line?

The sample program works fine in Eclipse - but now i have made a jar and want to execute it from the command line and i am getting the following error - i tried to set the springs.jar to the classpath but its not working - what am i missing - [this is bugging ]

C:\>java -jar rohit.jar

Hi David,

Thanks for the input - it was because a service was failing on startup that is why the bean could not be initilized.

If i add the following data to my map in my action class as shown

In my jsp i am accessing the values using the following:-

The above is working fine when i save the map. But how do i pass the values in the list ???What is the pattern that OGNL uses to map the field name to the class attributes in the JSP - if the following is my bean.

Hi,

I am not exactly sure where to put this question inside struts or inside websphere forums. Till yesterday my entire application was working fine in my local development system i.e. RAD ... but today after i restarted my machine i get this error out of the blue -

[Servelet Error] [Filter struts2 could not be initilized] - i have absolutely no idea what is going on ... something that was working properly till last night is all screwed up today my websphere 6.1 server is giving that error ... i am lost

HI,

Dunno I seem to be getting bogged down with this conversion error when i put 0 as my input.

If in my sample.jsp I have a textfield as follows:-

Now the corresponding bean for this is as follows:-

While doing a monkey test on this I found that when ever i enter 0 as the value for averageSpeed then I am getting an conversion error. Where as if i enter any value >0 it is working fine ....

What am I missing ??? Help please

Hi David,
Thanks a lot for the reply ... it was a silly mistake on my part there were two getters and setters with the same name in diferrent beans. e.g.

as soon as i renamed the getters and setters appropriately it started working fine.

One thing though i am confused as to why this happens .. its in a diferrent after all .. is struts not able to figure out which getter or setter to call ?

Hi,
I have configured a new app server in websphere . Now the problem is that i am not being able to access the admin console of the new server. e.g. if i have configured an appserver with name AppSrv01 and from the ports i get the secure admin port to be 9234 . So now i am trying to access the admin console using

http://192.168.121.170:9234/ibm/console

i am getting a 404 error and in the SystemOut.log i am getting the following message
"VirtualHost not defined for /ibm/console"

Any inputs ???
Thanks a lot...

Hello,

Well its been a really long time since i am looking for JBPM books - but unfortunately i have not got a single one that i really good from the technical side. I htink Business Process Management with JBoss JBPm is not too technically strong - well that's what I feel. Would like to get some feedback on good books from a developers point of view?

You know maybe something on the lines of "Blackbook series" lets say something like Blackbook of JBPM or may be JBPM in Action

Thanks in advance,
Rohit
