30_os-prober is executed when I run "grub-mkconfig", right?
I have no idea why it is not recognizing the other OSes and either how to debug the file...

I've tried to boot Win XP, but it didn't work...

Almost there!

I've edited /etc/grub.d/40_custom

Then

Now I can pick an entry from Grub's menu, Linux is fine but all the Windows leads to a blank screen!
I guess the "menuentry" needs more parameters, well, I'm still searching through the web...

I ran the command, but nothing changed...
Although the manual says grub 2 supports multiple OS, it doesn't tell anything about how to configure it!

I've read this too:

Does anybody have a dual boot with Windows and Ubuntu 10.04? How did you manage that?
13 years ago

Hi folks,

First I installed Win XP in /dev/sda5, Win Vista in /dev/sda6 and Win 7 in /dev/sda7.
Then I installed Linux Ubuntu 10.04 in /dev/sda1, mounting "/" in /dev/sda1 and "/home" in /dev/sda9.

How can I make grub2 to recognize all the four operating systems and use them?!

Thanks!

im@mycomputer:/# fdisk -l

Unfortunately most of them are Desktop-based, but I’m still searching…
Hi there,

Is there a good software for Project Management, like MS Project, but it has to be in Java and web-based, because I want to deploy it in tomcat or glassfish.
It also has to be freeware.
Suggestions?

Thanks!
my navigation rule...

<navigation-rule>
<from-view-id>/view/mainPage.xhtml</from-view-id>
<navigation-case>
<from-outcome>search</from-outcome>
<to-view-id>/view/mainPage.jsf</to-view-id>
</navigation-case>
<navigation-case>
<from-outcome>detail</from-outcome>
<to-view-id>/view/detail.jsf</to-view-id>
</navigation-case>
</navigation-rule>

${myBean.myMethod} will return the String "detail". According to my faces-config.xml I was expecting to be redirected to myContext/view/detail.xhtml.
I also tried to change the from-view-id's value tag to view/detail.xhtml but it didn't worked either...

there exists an action-attribute for the commandLink, which affects the navigation, perhaps this exists also still in facelets and you should use it .

I'm using the tag h:commandListener because I'm getting the atribute value int the backing bean...

It's working, I'm printing the value, it's ok. But the navigation fails.

I forgot to say, I'm using Facelets too...

My h:commandLink is in the list page:

Hi there,

What would cause a commandLink tag to do not dispatch to the right page?

When I clik the commandLink the flow goes through my backing bean, I'm printing with system.out.println to assure it, but the page navigation isn't working.
Instead of going to a different page, which is mapped in my faces-config.xml, the same command's link page is showed.

Thanks!

Ok, I've done some changes...

<h:selectOneMenu id="combo" value="${myBackingBean.myString}" >
<f:selectItem itemValue="A" itemLabel="Ok, there's some text... " /> <!-- error - this is chosen by default! -->
<f:selectItem itemValue="" itemLabel="Never is Selected" />
</h:selectOneMenu>

<h:outputText value="${myBackingBean.myString}"/> <!-- evaluates to nothing, ok -->
<h:outputText value="${myBackingBean.myString == null}"/> <!-- evaluates to true -->

Suggestions?
Thanks again!

Hi there,

I have a selectOneMenu like this...

<h:selectOneMenu id="combo" value="${myBackingBean.myString}" >
<f:selectItem itemValue="A" itemLabel="Ok, there's some text... " />
<f:selectItem itemValue="null" itemLabel="Never is Selected" />
</h:selectOneMenu>

Sometimes myBackingBean.myString evaluates to an empty String, I mean it has a null value.
But when this happens, the correct option, that would be itemValue="null" itemLabel="Never is Selected" isn't selected by default.
In fact, I don't know why, the oder option is selected instead - "Ok, there's some text... "

I've found this on the web ...

discussion, same problem

It's the same case, then I tried these changes...

<f:selectItem itemLabel="Never is selected" />

<f:selectItem itemValue="${null}" itemLabel="Never is selected" />

<f:selectItem itemValue="null" itemLabel="Never is selected" />

Neither of them worked...
Suggestions please? Thanks!
