Hi,

I have generated client code from a WSDL file using wsdl2java in Axis 1.4 when i wrote a class to use it I get a stack trace when trying to connect to it.
Anyone have any ideas what is going wrong?

thanks.

Hi,
I am trying to center some href/span elements inside a couple of div blocks. I can center the text but I cant get my href to center with the background image.
I've attatched images I'm using, if anyone has time for a look that'd be great.

thanks

Hi,

Is it a bad idea to use setDaemon(true) and join() on the same thread?
I am thinking this because the setDaemon will make the thread a low priority and the join() method waits for it to finish which may be a very long wait on a busy operating system.

anyone have any experience or opiniions on this question?

appreiciate any help

thanks

Stu.
sorry, the question was misunderstood, yes I can get the bean from the spring container by the id, once i have it is there any way to get the id of that bean, (I know in my example i already know it, but in reality I may not for example if it was part of a map.)

Is it possible to access the id of a bean declared in the applicationContext.xml (I suspect not)
I have defined a bean like this:

I would like to access the id 'testBean' programmatically.

Thanks for the suggestion.
I'll take a look at the quartz solution.
Alternatively how about if I start off a thread in the contextListener and leave it running in a loop?

Hi,
I am needing to hold a cache of data from the database, I load the data at the startup of my webapp and put in the application context via the contextListener, this is fine.
However what I want to do is periodocally check the database to see if this cache needs updating, I want this check to be automatic, eg every hour.
Has anyone got any ideas how to achieve this automatic update to an object on the application scope?
any ideas/opinions appriciated.

thanks
