usage : javac <options> <source files>

Could you please let me how did you get rid of it.

Yes. I have applied for a work visa which is currently under approval.

Also i wanted to know when a fresher is trying for job, wont they be given a change to learn. Having core java concepts and determination to learn on job wont help?

http://java.sun.com/j2ee/1.4/download.html contains many downloads. I am not sure which is the right one.
Is it one listed against "Get the J2EE 1.4 SDK" or some other. Could you please verify that.

Also regarding Tomcat 5.5.27 which one needs to be downloaded. Is it the Core one under Binary Distributions.

Also it would be helpful if you could let me know any another thing that needs to be set like the classpath.

I recently gave my SCJP 1.4 exam and scored 88%. My past work experience included development in VB for 1yr.

I am planning to look out for jobs in Java in US and have no prior experience in Java. Also i have just knowledge on Core Java and not on advanced part.
Also i do have knowledge on C/C++/SQL.

Is it possible to get any entry level position as Java Programmer with this skill set.
Or is there some mandatory knowledge on advane required(like JSP).

Kindly advice me.

Real exam isnt as tough as the mock exams i came across.

I had no experience working in java, except that few concepts i knew were the ones i studied during my bachelors.
I got 2 books from our nearby libarary K&B and Khalid. I went through both till i decided which one i should refer. I prefered K&B cause it covers concepts very well.

I spend one full month giving online free mock exams and that period was when you learn the most cause it makes to think of all posibilities that could occur.
I didnt buy any exam but tried to give most i came across online free.

And this forum is the best place to learn and share. I used to read and answer threads posted on daily basis which makes you learn and also help others in understanding stuff.

Wish you all good luck for your exams too.
