Earlier this exam was supposed to be available in Sep, then Oct and now some info has come up but still no info about Objectives.
Can you please throw some light into the darkness?
Cheers
Rachel
Great notes.
Khalid Sir: When are you launching the new version?
Regards and best wishes
Rachel
Oks. I understand. Since I have personally used only Whiz one and I use the same for my training, I would suggest you that but I've heard good points about Web+ as well. I think you shouldn't take too much time in deciding and should get on to your preparation with any one if you can't buy both.
BTW: More Servlets by Marty is a nice book, although not specific to the exam.
Good Luck
Rachel.
Congrats man! Nice show.
Good luck for your SCEA
Rachel
Nice suggestions. You can also try out the resources at the links section of this forum. http://www.javaranch.com/scwcdlinks.jsp. You may want to check out the sample chapters.. from some really good books.. in case you want a really depth study of some topics.
And don't underestimate the importance of writings lines of code..try program as much as possible.
Good luck

Although I passed long time back (using SCWCDWhiz, no book was available at that time) with a high score but I've been training couple of guys at my organization for the same exam for some time now.
Hey, if you want to take a clever decion as some of my ppl have taken, I would suggest buying Manning's Guide (It already includes 3 Tests from Web+) and SCWCDWhiz. It will give you best of both and sufficent platform to study and practice.
But my personal suggestion: Don't rely only on book or a simualtor. Experience.. of writing code.. desigining applications can't be replaced by any other thing.
Good Luck
Rachel
Sam,
Its true that SCEA is concept based and probably thats the best part of it from the perspective of an Architect.
Any idea on Sun One certifications?
Cheers
Rachel
I agree with Dan but not completely. In my opinion SCEA is the most prestigious and toughest of all Sun Java certifications.
SCJP is very common today and I would call it "for masses" and SCEA "for classes"
SCWCD and SCJD comes in between. SCWCD is comparatively easier although the objectives covered are very much used and appreiciated in the Industry.
Anyone with opinion on Sun ONe Server certifications??
Congrats man for a century!!

Thanks
Rachel
Thankyou ppl. Looking forward to the release of your book.
PS: Seems to be some problem with the Wrox link. Some site changes at wrox it seems.
HI Dan & Sam,
Its great to hear about you and the upcoming book. Nice knowing that the author of one of my favorite books (Prof Servlets) is coming up a book for certification (although its not of direct use for me as I've pased the exam long time back).
Still I would like to have the book. Can you plz elabarote on the use of the book for someone like me.. who is alwayz looking for good JSP/Serlvets resources.
Thank
Rachel
Congrats dude. You seem to the first few to pass this exam. Thanx 4 your feedback. How were the questions on new topics like "web services"?
Hi,
With my past and present experience of Java Certifications products by WHIZ people, I highly recommend J@Whiz1.4. I get even more confidence on seeing the fact that Marcus Green has also choosen it for his October SCJP training course.
