I've set one up using the belkin pci card and the belkin router. Off the top of my head I don't remember the details except to say that it does work. I tried a linksys card before reading that their cards no longer work under linux. The typical no driver available for the hardware problem under linux. I think I used the wlan driver. This site has a bunch of links:http://bengross.com/wireless.html

Rick I checked your book out briefly at a local bookstore and it looked interesting and I know you've received a very good review on this site. Lately I've been learning struts and am trying to put together an app to help me learn. I didn't realize your book covered struts also. Is struts a major part of the book?

I access tomcat4 on port 8080.

It sounds like tomcat is starting ok. It doesn't give a specific message that it's started just some info about the different paths it's using if I remember correctly. After you execute startup.sh don't close the terminal window (you can minimize it if you want). Check to see if you can access the tomcat default web apps at http://localhost:8080/. If you can do that you're good to go.

Try executing ./startup.sh and to shutdown ./shutdown.sh from the bin directory. Linux requires the ./ to executes scripts from the current directory.

Who would pay 3K for it?

Check the mailing list accessible at mysql.com, the list has that question mentioned frequently. I don't know the answer off-hand I had a different problem. But you should be able to find an answer on the mailing list.

Jason I can understand why you might think Hilary wouldn't have New Yorker's interests at heart at least partially since she is what used to be called a carpetbagger. But speaking as a New York Democrat I was pretty happy she ran and won although I know that's not a popular opinion. As for Reagan, keeping in mind I vote Democrat almost allways I didn't think much of him. Not very intelligent for one thing. And his supply side economics led to our countries largest deficits in history. I viewed him as a second rate actor playing the part of Pres. although I guess that probably too harsh an assessment.

After you extract tomcat, type TOMCAT_HOME=yourinstallation directory/jakarta-tomcat-4.0(I'm using tomcat 3.2.1 so I'm assuming that's the numbering for tomcat 4); export TOMCAT_HOME.
set JAVA_HOME=your root directory for the jdk. Add java interpreter to your PATH environment variable.

I suggest reading the user's guide.

>The point that the Strikes are trying to make to the enemy is >already accepted by the enemy. They already know that if US is >attacked, the US will kick ass. But whose ass??? They also know >that US will kick there host's ass. And they don't care a bit >about it.
Which is why the only short term 'victory' for the U.S. is the capture or (more likely and more hopefully) death of Osama the insane and his lieutenants. Osama seems to be a very charismatic figure to a lot of Muslim or would be Muslim extremists, his death would hopefully leave a large vacuum of leadership.

Your welcome, I guess it worked? I'm new to Linux myself.

Pranav don't you see that what J Ash is saying is that Indian workers are here on some sort of charity mission which as you correctly stated isn't the case. People of many cultures come here to work because of opportunity to make a better living than what they can get in their native land. Charity has nothing to do with it. J Ash is one confused individual.

'a country who has helped the US grow by letting the creme de la creme work in their country-', you've got to be kidding. So all the Indians coming to work in the U.S. are doing so out of a desire to help us? You don't believe that for a second do you?
