better to display the error message also.
otherwise its difficult to trace
Class.forName("class name");
is generlly used to load a class specified.
and then internally this method call the method a static block of specified class as follows -

DriverManager.registerDriver(new Driver());

then it creates object of the specified Driver.

i am using jfreechart library to develop graphs in my project, with swings library.
but when i am creating sealed jar file for this project using myeclipse IDE, it is not creating jar file properly,
its displaying problem with jfreechart library

i think this problem is coming because of the licence of jfreechart, means we can't seal the file where we are using jfreechart.

is there any solution, so that i can seal the other file excluding jfreechart.

please give your expert comment......

i am using jfreechart to display a graph between x and y axis.

but in this (x,y) graph x axis is coming horizontally-bottom, and i want x axis to be displayed at horizontally-top side.
but i am not finding any way to do this, can anybody suggest me what might be the solution for this problem.

means normally if you plot a xylinechart it displays y-axis left-vertical and x-axis bottom-horizontally.

but how can we display a graph with x-axis top-horizontally and y-axis left-vertical...

i am having a student table in oracle database...

but when i am retrieving the data from this table by using resultset and jdbc connection. the rows retrieved by resultset are not comming in order, means according to logic first, first row should come, after that second and so on...

but here this order is not predictable, sometime while displaying the output its not following the order...

code is like this....

Class.forName("oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver");
Connection connection = DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:oracle:thin:@localhost:1521:XE","hr","hr");
Statement statement = connection.createStatement();
ResultSet resultSet = statement.executeQuery("select sno from student");
StudentBean studentBean = new StudentBean();
while(resultSet.next())
{
studentBean.setStudentId(resultSet.getString(1));
System.out.println(studentBean.getStudentId());

}

and the output is coming like this....
11
16
21
6

and the database student data is like this...
SNO SNAME SAGE SQUALIFICATION SCOURSE
6 f df df f
11 sd f f sdf
21 bhcv cvb cvb b
16 dfg g d fg g

according to this table if we fetch the data it should come in 6,11,21,16 order but its not coming in this order....

i am unable to understand why its happening please help me...

i will be waiting for your reply...
thanks for your quick reply...... but my problem is still there..

i will specify my problem in detail...

i am having a servlet class as follows.... where i am saving the list(java.util.List) of records retrieved from db in a request scope...........

request.setAttribute(StudentConstants.STUDENT_LIST, studentList);

and in a jsp i want to display the contant of this list
and i am trying to do this....

<c:set var="s" value="${requestScope.StudentConstants.STUDENT_LIST)}" scope="request"></c:set>
<center>
<h1>Student Details</h1><br>
<table border="0" align="center">
<tr>
<td>Id</td><td>Name</td><td>Age</td><td>Quali</td><td>Course</td>
</tr>
<c:forEach var="s" items="${requestScope.studentlist}">
<tr>
<td><c:out value="${s.studentId}" /></td>
<td><c:out value="${s.studentName}" /></td>
<td><c:out value="${s.studentAge}" /></td>
<td><c:out value="${s.studentQualification}" /></td>
<td><c:out value="${s.studentCourse}" /></td>
</tr>
</c:forEach>

but it is showing the following error message....
SEVERE: Servlet.service() for servlet jsp threw exception
org.apache.jasper.JasperException: /StudentDetails.jsp(3,0) According to TLD or attribute directive in tag file, attribute value does not accept any expressions
