Thank You Very Much for the Info Himai. I will get started with Up and Running and their Notes. All the best for your preparation. Let's go get certified

I found the latest MZ study guide on his website at http://java.boot.by/ocewsd6-guide/.

Do you know where i can get Ivan's latest study guide.?

Thanks
Vijay

Hi All,
My name's Vijay. I have been working with java technologies for 6 years now. I did a few certifications in the past with all your help. I currently want to get myself certified with Java Web Services. This is one area i have never had a chance to work on. I read the entire Monsol-Haefel web services book end to end excluding the UDDI part. I understand the concepts but i still havent grown confident.

I have only 15 days to get certified. I have all my time for it. I want to know which certification do i go for. I see OCP WSD and the OCE WSD. Is OCE meant to be an advanced exam or if i prepare for web services in general i should be able to take it.

I have the following material with me right now,

Monsol Haefel - Web Services
Restful Java Web Services - Jose Sandoval
Martin Kalin - Up and Running
And of course the notes recommended by all of you here, Mikalai Zaikin,

Any guidance is greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Vijay
Hi Guys,
Can some help with an excpetion that has been bugging me for a day now. This is the first time i am working on JMS. I hope someone can help me out on this. I'll cut down the details and tell the actual scenario. I have an Input Thread say <input>, it spawns another Thread say <output>. The thread <output> waits for a message on a temporary jms queue to complete itself. The thread <input> also sends a work message to a jms queue (not temporary) which is received by an MDB say <workbean>. The <workbean> spawns another thread say <work> which does some processing on the message. After processing the <work> thread sends an output message to the temporary output queue, the one that the thread <output> was waiting on. But i get an exception when the <work> thread tries to send the output message to the temporary output queue. Please find the stacktrace below. Also, the thread properties after the stacktrace.

Thanks Deepak, but i just wanted to see if the server is started properly or not... so i gave the plain URL http://localhost:9082/ ...... doesn't that show some default page indicating the server started.... like tomcat would do.... that URL gives me a 404.... i am not trying to run my application....i just want to check the server start up......

i tried running my app with http://localhost:9082/xyz ....... but that threw me a 404.... so i tried checking the server with http://localhost:9082/ and that threw me a 404 as well....

Hi,
I configured my RAD with websphere 7.0. The server start up and my MDB (EJB 2.0) application gets published successfully (one War + One EAR) . But when i try to run the URL http://localhost:9082/ i get a 404 error. I thought if the server starts up at least the server console should be shown with that URL. Forget the war, the root itself throuws a 404. Can someone please help me.

Thanks and Regards
