sridhar row wrote:Hi all, I took the exam today and failed. I only got 58%. The SCJP 6 Exam was very hard and even though they have increased the time, the questions are so hard that i lost time trying to get them right and ended up not having enough time. I think everytime i cracked a hard question i got a much harder question..wonder if the questions are based on ones strengths!?!?
Even though there were only a couple of questions from the newer version, there were some questions that are not covered in the SCJP 5 study guide by K&B. So my advice if you are planning to take SCJP 6 please don't. Wait for the SCJP 6 study guide.

I think you don't need to re-take this exam once again. Passing of SCJP opened for you many new examination directions, in which you can take effort and try to achieve more confident results. For example, try SCJD or SCWCD as your next challenge.

Thank you very much sir. I was little confused regarding the %age. Actually i have gone through ketthy seeira just once. and that was my all preparations. no actual code writing, no hands on practice just gave the exam. so i wanted to clear that if i should give this exam once again ? will this marks will influence my next targets like scwcd ?

Hi everybody,
I took the test today and scored just 58%(Just Passed). Well i was not well prepared for the exam but due to some reason i have to give the exam. I want to know that do marks matter ? Should i give the exam again or only certificate matters ( for applying in any company) ( no doubt the more %age you scored, shows you the more knowledge you have.) please guide me.. and what should i choose next SCBCD or SCWCD ?
