Hi Folks,
I have a problem with the combo box in a JDialog window. The problem is as follows...
1) I have a combo box which is editable followed by 3 text boxes and ok/cancel/apply buttons in it.
2) Whenever an user edits the combo box and after that whatever be the clickevent say clicking ok/apply/cancel or clicking any text boxes within the dialog box, combo box automatically fires an event. So the code in the actionPerformed(or ItemStateChanged) part of the JComboBox gets executed Instead of the actionPerformed part of the ok/apply/cancel buttons..Only in the next click the corresponding code of the button gets executed...In brief..the JComboBox automatically fires an event...
How to overcome this?.I have copied my code below.

Thanks to All,
Thanks Avi, I'll try setUndecorated() method.
Keith,
I think you got confused with my question. I have meant the X(window close)button in the top right corner of the JDialog box. Any ways Thanks for your kind reply.
Nathan,
I have seen in some installation programs that the X button is disabled(meaning decoloured). How is that possible?. Is that the property of Install Shield program??. Why can't we do it in Java??.
Tim,
You are absolutely right, it is created by OS heavy weight!. Any possible ways Tim?.

DONOTHING_ON_CLOSE,HIDE_ON_CLOSE,EXIT_ON_CLOSE is not the required solution.

Hi Folks,
Tx for your qucik reply. I'll explain my problem in another context. I want to design a HTML page first. In that I have to map the data which I got from database and then write it to another file and save it as .HTM or .HTML. How will I do that?. Should I have to set some rules like between any delimeters ie #FNAME#,I have to replace it with actual value from the database.
ie #FNAME# --> Murali
Is there any facility (class or package)available for this?.Please let me know if any. Other ideas are welcome.
Thanks,
Murali
Hi All,
I am in need of your help. I have a piece of code which reads data from a database and writes it to a flat file. Instead of writing it to a flat file we have to present it in a structured way using HTML.Here I don't know that I have to create (embed) the whole HTML tags in the program itself or how to generate a HTML file using core Java. .This is just to display the output(something like reports in HTML).Please help me folks. This is very urgent.

Yep That works for you Manuel,
command is javac -d c:\classes MySource.java.This will make ur MySource.class file to be stored in c:\classes directory.
Rob,
Is there any properties file kind of thing to store the class files to c:\classes directory with out giving the option -d in javac??.Since i have to specify each and every time while compiling!!!.
