Have a look at Java Pet Store and Java Adventure applications. This would give you an understanding on what and how much content you have for Part 2
Even I had the same assignment

I agree with Rahul. Cade's diagram is just an example. You have to explore all the areas and then come up with a solution. Your solution might be same as the one in book. It does not matter. As long as you are convinced about the solution, it should be fine

Your downloaded assignment should have the steps for sending the assignment
After you send assignment, you will get a confirmation email

Hi,

Today I appeared for SCEA part 3. After finishing the test, I go results saying "You answered 0 questions correctly which gives you a score of 0%. Test Status: Fail". How come test status is failed? Essay exam/Part3 is evaluated along with Part 2 which I would be submitting shortly.

Can anyone have any clue?

Hi,

Thanks.

I agree with you that Payment authorization should be synchronous.

What I as trying to ask was whether requirements mandates payment auth, order creation, email and shipment should happen in order synchronously on click of submit.

Websites like Amazon and others accept the orders and process them asynchronously providing updates to customer on order status

Hi,

One of the steps in the Check Out use case mentions "System authorizes credit card payment, send email confirmation and responds with a order number"

My understanding from the step is system performs these steps and they need not be in any order or need not be synchronous. Is my understanding correct?

Hi,

Are we suppose to capture all the scenarios in an use case or just the happy path in the sequence diagram?

For e.g. browsing products might result in no products for a category. Are we suppose to shown both the scenarios i.e. products available and no products?

Amit
Hi,

Would like to know when I should appear for Part 3? Is it before or after submitting the Part 2?

Hi,

Do we need capture method parameters and return types in the class diagram?
